Otter Products EMEA is currently looking for a top-notch Finance Director to lead the organization's regional Finance Department. This individual will provide strategic and operational direction to the Accounting and Commercial Finance teams ensuring that the team’s objectives and activities are aligned with the Company’s business goals. You will establish and coordinate responsibilities and procedures among subordinate divisions and departments and maintain relationships with lending institutions, shareholders, and the financial community. This role is based in Ireland, however may involve 5-20% travel (domestic & international).
The ideal candidate will have the ability to model servant leadership and enhance employee engagement, and develop and lead a high energy, results driven team. We are looking for someone who can assist the Managing Director in establishing financial strategic objectives as well as operating policies and procedures to ensure attainment of organizational objectives. Evaluate results within business units to determine if financial objectives are being met. Managing through servant leadership, influencing, dealing with ambiguity, strategic agility, and a relentless focus on Customer Experience are key to the success for this role.

Provide exceptional leadership to the EMEA Finance team including but not limited to; being a coach and mentor to the team, ensuring the correct structure is in place through organizing the team’s roles and responsibilities and providing professional development opportunities for Otters
Accountable for the management of finance teams that are responsible for accounting operations, financial reporting, indirect tax compliance, financial modeling, scenario planning etc
Directly accountable to the Managing Director of the EMEA Business Unit for reporting on and providing key business support to manage and control financial risk and to develop and implement opportunities. Producing relevant financial business intelligence including routine reports and ad hoc analysis as required, and providing rigorous financial assessment of customer facing investment
Ability to translate the company strategy into steps for the Accounting and Commercial Teams to ensure alignment with company goals
Manage the Commercial Finance Team ensuring that it meets financial and auditory requirements
Provide thorough analysis and review at a customer and channel level of the commercial plans and results against internal metrics with conclusions and actions required to ensure performance is on track as part of a monthly financial report
Engage with EMEA’s internal and external stakeholders, to drive transparency and build strong, lasting relationships by providing clear indications of current performance, operational soundness and prospects eg employees, leadership team, lenders, payroll providers, auditors, regulators etc
Collaborate with global Otter Finance teams, developing and creating world class processes to align the EMEA and Global financial strategies and objectives
Develop a structured budgeting and variance reporting process including financial and non-financial performance indicators
Act as a Business Partner to all departments in financial decisions and understanding their impact on the company’s bottom line
Even though this role is scoped as a regional role, there are deliberate global aspects and requirements. This role may be called on to support the Managing Director EMEA on regional specific projects
Direct multiple finance initiatives in a fast paced, high-volume, continuously changing environment
Analytical thinking and ability to see creative solutions and opportunities

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required. (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
Seven to ten years of experience in an Accounting or Finance role in a FMCG industry, including international experience in a FMCG industry is preferred
Minimum of four years of previous mentor, supervisor, lead or manager role experience required
Proven track record of achieving results through people is required
Solid exposure and experience in commercial finance
Ability to drive business indicators and produce profit impacting results
Experience in EU VAT and Tax compliance is required
Proven experience of developing Finance Policy and Strategy
Experience working at Executive Level and advising and presenting Strong negotiation and influencing skills
Highly organised, with ability to effectively and holistically analyse situations, identify and execute solutions with a sense of urgency
An ability to exercise superior judgment to do what is right for the company, employees and the customer at all times
Analytical problem solving skills for accounting and commercial finance matters
Fluent written & verbal English is required. Another European language would be highly desirable
