Position Description

The Finance Manager leads the Commercial/Supply Chain Finance support organization within the Pallecon and Automotive divisions of CCPS, coordinating the design, structure and execution of Pallecon and Automotive Commercial/Supply Chain Finance support services; focused on the delivery of standard processes, improved service levels and enhanced operational efficiency

Major/Key Accountabilities

  • Provides strategic and operational decision-making guidance to the operations leadership team and the commercial leadership team
  • Supports the long-term planning cycle and strategy setting within operations to deliver robust strategic plans and initiatives
  • Direct the execution of competitive assessment and cost analysis to identify improvement opportunities within the CCPS organization 
  • Supervise the development and tracking of Commercial/ Supply Chain Finance internal service levels to improve customer support and efficiency 
  • Engage with customers within Finance and the business to review service requirements and ensure Commercial/ Supply Chain Finance support effectively reflects customer needs 
  • Supports the long-term planning cycle with the commercial team to deliver pricing and growth strategy 
  • Provides inputs and advises on key business assumptions, trade-offs, risks and opportunities, in relation to the delivery of BU strategic plan, budgets and forecast
  • Provides the business with analytics and insights to support strategic and operational decision making, and in doing so, influences improved business performance and capital allocation decisions
  • Provides deep functional analytical insight through modelling detailed inputs on budgets and forecasts
  • Acts as the finance leader of the short term planning cycles, developing guidance to articulate the business requirements and expected growth targets relating to long term planning, budgeting and forecasting processes to deliver effective performance targets
  • Proactively identifies and supports strategic business initiatives and actions to drive operations performance to achieve forecast/targets
  • Provides operations specific business insights and commentary on the financial results and performance including interpreting, explaining with a view to driving improved performance 
  • Provides ad-hoc analysis and scenarios to provide insights on specific business issues
  • Identifies and assesses potential risks in business cases and recommending actions to manage/mitigate risks.
  • Drive continuous process improvements in reporting, forecasting, and budgeting activities through automation, system enhancements, data quality, and quality improvement to track/review relevant KPI’s
