The Position

Smart Wires is currently looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to apply a passion and innate talent for data analysis, problem solving, and forecasting to help us optimize our business as we grow and scale the company.

The Senior Financial Analyst will report to the Sr Director of Finance, and will be engaged in a diverse set of financial and accounting efforts to enable our growth trajectory. Qualified candidates will be serial problem solvers, have a highly structured and analytical mind, and enjoy working in a fast-paced team environment. The ideal candidate will also be an excellent communicator, and ideally have experience in manufacturing or operations. Primary Responsibilities

  • Accounting:
    • Assist in month-end close processes and manage key account reconciliations

Support monthly financial reporting package submission

  • Financial Planning:
    • Assist in the annual planning and 5 year financial modeling cycles, including cross-functional partnership to build-up our detailed plan and operational assumptions.
    • Assist in managing our Investor Relations data-room and associated material
    • Assist in the preparation of quarterly board of director packages
  • Financial Operations and Analysis:
    • Manage and streamline the Purchase Order Request Process and associated data aggregation
    • Simplify and streamline other key processes within the Finance organization
    • Manage the COGS forecast and manufacturing overhead analysis
    • Assist in the monthly inventory reconciliation analysis and stocking optimization
    • Assist with our recurring cash flow projection forecast
    • Assist in pro-forma portfolio optimization analysis
    • Develop and track KPI’s
    • Support ERP/MRP integration

Required Skills and Experience

  • BS/MS in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or other quantitative field (CS, Applied Statistics, Operations Research)
  • Minimum 5 years of functional experience
  • Excellent written communication and verbal presentation skills in English.
  • Modeling skills: Ability to build linear, auditable, dynamic financial and operational models
  • Problem solving: Ability to break-down complex issues into linear workflow, (familiarity with A3 thinking, PDCA, Lean)
  • Organization & Prioritization: Ability to self-organize, prioritize, and progress critical work streams
  • Systems: Excel wizard, Asana fanatic, natural ability to adopt and implement new tools (e.g. Power Automate)
  • Ability to work with remote teams
  • Ability to travel up to 20% within the US

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Manufacturing or Operations experience
  • SQL, Power Query


  • This position location is flexible, however we prefer candidates who are aligned with our operational hours in the Americas.
