Financial Controller, Retail, Donegal

The Company

Our client is an expanding Irish business in the retail sector. They are seeking to recruit an experienced Financial Controller to the Senior Management Team.  

The Position:

The role will support a number of entities within the business and provide all-round support to the Senior Managers in the team.  The successful candidate will manage the day to day activities of the finance team and lead a number of projects to improve the function.  Role is varied and will include

• Monthly accounts preparation
• Manage weekly KPI reporting 
• Supervise and develop a growing finance and support team
• Stock management 
• Business partnering with the management team and board of directors 
• Financial analysis 
• Audit preparation and management 
• Assist with production of group financial statements
• Monthly board pack preparation and reporting
• Budgeting and forecasting 
• Cashflow 
• Review and improve finance policies, procedures and controls
• Manager external relationships 
• Project work 

 The Person:

• Qualified accountant with similar experience in a hands-on role, preferentially within the retail sector  
• Team management experience 
• Very strong technical accounting skills
• Commercial orientation
• Strong work ethic
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills/ability to prioritize work
• Good interpersonal skills
• Process orientated
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Can-do attitude
