Join PwC’s Assurance Finance team as a Financial Controller and be involved in assisting PwC’s leadership teams in making critical business decisions.

The Assurance finance team provides a wide range of services with the aim of providing commercial insights that assist the leadership teams in making critical business decisions to drive successful business outcomes.

As Financial Controller for your Assurance Business Units (BU) you will work closely with the Business Unit Leader (BUL) and the People and Operations Leaders (P&OL).  You are a trusted advisor and your primary focus will be to provide financial insight and an independent point of view around our business performance.

You will:

  • Contribute to Assurance-wide finance projects and firm-wide change initiatives.
  • Be responsible for the forecasting and budgeting process for your BU’s and report outcomes to your BUL’s.
  • Own the month end reporting process for your BU’s and share results with your BUL’s and Finance Team Leader, and ensure compliance with all Assurance controls across your BU’s.
  • Informally provide coaching and on-going support to the Assurance PMC and Operations teams, and formally coach members of the finance team
  • Play an active role in developing Finance reporting capabilities, and sharing knowledge and skills with the wider Finance team.
  • Establish and build effective relationships with our Assurance Transformation team to ensure we are embedding transformation into our budget and ongoing performance.
  • Ensure ongoing recoverability and valuation of WIP and Debtor balances.
  • Regularly analyse and reconcile balance sheet accounts including accruals and provisions.

About you

You are degree qualified and have completed CA/CPA and are highly systems literate. You have a solid background in Finance Management and are commercially minded and able to strategically advise leadership on business challenges and opportunities.
