Position: Record-to-Report (RTR) Financial Reporting Supervisor Reporting to: Team Manager / Service Delivery Manager Primary description: The Financial Reporting Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the team/s under his/ her supervision, ensuring the delivery of services in accordance with the GSSC s Service Level Agreement (SLA) and/ or KPIs with the Business Key Responsibilities: Ensure that the team under his/ her supervision and its staff are meeting their KPIs/ SLAs. Prepare timely and accurate monthly management and reports related to the performance of the team under supervision. Manage the preparation and distribution of internal/external financial statements and reports, maintaining the highest quality, reliability, timeliness, and accuracy in accordance with the team s Service Level Agreements, IFRS and local statutory requirements. Manage, motivate and develop the team, which includes regular coaching, performance appraisals, and discussion of staff s individual development plan. Always keep self and team up-to-date with new/updated IFRS and able to inform management on implications to the financials and accounting processes ahead of adoption. Ensure that the team has a sound contingency plan, including a working back-up system and complete and updated process documentations Identify, develop and roll-out continuous improvements projects within the processes, aim to standardise, streamline and improve efficiency on processes. Ensure that the internal controls framework under his/ her supervision are in compliance with IFRS, Stolt Nielsen s policies and procedures, and/or with the applicable GAAP, and statutory requirements; Establish and maintain good relationship with the customers and counterparts Handle other tasks assigned from time to time. This may include projects related to migrations, improvement, or other business initiatives. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor s Degree in Accounting CPA required Diploma in IFRS, a plus Experience At least 6 years combined working experience in External Audit and Financial and Management Reporting and/or General Accounting. At least 4 years of Financial Statement preparation At least 4 years of managing people of which 2 year gained from Shared Service or BPO Industry; Experience in process improvement, PMP/Prince/Six Sigma an advantage. Experience in process migration, a PLUS. Experience in shipping industry is an advantage. Specific Skills Advanced English communication skills, both written and oral Practical knowledge of ERP applications. Oracle and HFM experience, a plus Advanced Excel skills Proficient in other MS Office applications (MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) Additional Focus / Responsibilities: Analysis Spearhead the following Processes: FS Planning (Plan audit timetable, Test of Balance & Roll Forward templates) FS Execution (Audit Requests and attend to audit queries and control of audit process to meet statutory & internal timelines) FS Conclusion / Reporting (Lead Schedule) Review and Disposal of FS Comments FS Disclosure Checklist Preparation Ensure completeness and accuracy of taxes calculation Ensure compliance to all statutory filing and reporting requirements Stay updated with latest BIR and other regulatory agencies issuances. Data Gathering Preparation, completion and delivery of statutory financial statements and other controlling reports in accordance with IFRS (or relevant GAAP) and/or company standards Team / Assignment Specific Requirement: RTR Financial Reporting Supervisor FS Spearhead & Review for all legal entities under his/her care Tax returns review and/or preparation Statutory filing BIR, SEC, BOI, DOLE, POEA, etc. Internal and External Control compliance monitoring Collaborative meetings (planning and status update), liaise with external auditors and consultants for planning and completion of various audit and other related engagement Manage team handling financial statements, compliance, and controls.
