Key Responsibilities

IT Compliance Officer will manage the IT risk, governance, compliance framework for regulated and unregulated entities within DFS, with initial focus on Dell Bank International d.a.c.  As part of this effort, the IT Compliance Officer will collaborate with Service Providers to ensure compliance with IT policies, SLA and control objectives whilst driving focus on service improvement initiatives.  This role will report into the CIO for DFS EMEA.

You will:

  • Drive and influence strategic and operational frameworks supporting compliance activities, including IT control monitoring, managing internal external audits and Management Action Plans (MAPs) and Continuous Self-Assessment (CSA) process.

  • Identify compliance and business continuity risks to the organization and make recommendations for corrective actions/ risk mitigation. Partner closely with the Risk function to identify, develop, implement and maintain processes, to reduce information and information technology (IT) risks

  • Work with existing subject matter experts and Service Providers to leverage and refine IT Compliance training and awareness programs and materials.

  • Build and develop strong domain expertise around core DFS systems. Must fully understand the overall IT solution architecture and key areas of concern to regulators and auditors.

  • Stay up-to-date on changes in regulation, especially those relevant to the financial services industry in the EU in general and Ireland, and remain fully up-to-date on best practices for IT governance and compliance.

  • Engages, as required, with internal customers, senior business leadership, Board and Regulator.

  • Produce management and performance reports (including Scorecards) to an agreed schedule or upon request, providing regular feedback to Manager.

Essential Requirements

  • Experience in IT compliance is key, in a regulated financial services organization

  • Ability to work effectively with multiple layers of the organization (experience working with / supporting executives is crucial)

  • Familiarity with software development life cycle and methodologies

  • Excellent communication, executive presentation, and networking skills

  • Relationship management skills, ability to influence and heightened diplomacy skills

  • Innovative thinking, strategic focus and proven track record of challenging the status quo

  • Strong program management skills, from visioning to tactical implementation
