The successful candidate will:

  • Understand and conduct entire formulation process including; accurate compounding of flavors, raw material handling, measuring physical properties, and computer entry of formulations and specifications.
  • Maintain laboratory conditions, manage and transfer raw materials and flavor stocks
  • Observe laboratory and plant safety rules and GMP’s.  Participate in Safety Committee o rotating basis
  • Interface with production and other IFF departments as necessary for completion of job tasks
  • Support customer visits. Interact with sales/customers during project execution
  • Perform basic to advanced laboratory processes required for preparation of intermediates and finished flavors, such as liquid compounding, extractions, Parr bombs, rotary evaporators etc.
  • Application of flavors into bases and participate in tasting and product evaluations
Required Experience

Required Skills:

  • Strong computer skills, including: SAP, Microsoft Office, and other IFF systems as introduced and required.
  • Strong practical math skills (e.g. calculating and preparing dilutions of flavoring materials, flavor creations and applications, etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact productively on internal/external basis
  • Ability to taste and discriminate sensory properties of flavors & applications
  • Ability and wiliness to collaborate
  • Fluent in English.  Additional languages desirable.
  • Well organized self-starter with desire to develop new skills

Required Experience:

  • Four Year Degree (BS/BA in biological or chemical science preferred.) with 1-2 years of lab experience
