Job Description

Sensata is looking for a Commercial Finance Analyst for our Performance Sensing Korea Auto Business Unit, who will lead the business unit market dashboard reporting and analyzing and developing revenue forecasts providing strong business partnership for the regional VP.
This position investigates market & sales trend opportunities and provides recommendations to senior management regarding current market conditions and demand. In addition, this opportunity requires collaboration with several functional groups in the organization including, but not limited to, marketing, demand planning and customer service.
The Commercial Finance Analyst will collaborate and partner closely with GBU and regional finance teams to ensure forecasts are coordinated in the overall P&L and bridged in detail to support GBU financial processes and requirements. Regular analysis of revenue growth including price, market, vehicle content, market share gains/losses and the impact of foreign exchange is required as well as the impact of backlog reductions and customer order movements. In addition, Gross Margin profitability analysis and transparency around revenue and margin mix effects belong to this job.
This role is responsible for revenue forecasts developed using published production forecasts, regulatory changes and other macro-economic trends for the Korea and global end markets as well as information from collaborating with sales and marketing leaders in the organization. The Sr. Commercial Finance analyst will provide regular updates to senior management on the current year outlook against historical performance and prior forecasts and will partner to identify gap closures opportunities and drive the team to optimize performance. In addition, this role will partner with the marketing organization to prepare a 5 year long rate revenue forecast (annual Strategic Plan process) based on long term contracts and new business opportunities. Successful candidates will be able to analyze large quantities of data from various sources and have a high proficiency in Excel as well as be able to see the big picture in our various end markets. Preparing compelling PowerPoint slides and presenting information to senior leaders with confidence are also key success factors.

The Commercial Finance Analyst is also accountable to prepare an accurate production demand forecast in support of efficient and effective production and material planning and provide transparent gross margin analysis derived from the revenue plan..
The ideal candidate will be someone who is comfortable working independently, has strong business acumen, and has proven success in supporting new business development utilizing strong analytical forecasting skills. In addition, effective leadership skills are required to develop one analyst which will report to this role and be dedicated to support routine data analytics and other day-to-day tasks.

+ Provide business partnership to Korea Auto VP in understanding market trends, customer accounts and productions schedules / backlog to develop forecasts and drive performance to commitments
+ Own the end Market forecast and associated analysis / report-out within respective region through engagement with third party analysts, Sales, and Marketing; assess and highlight macro trends and impact to organization. This includes in-depth industry analysis and identification of key factors influencing the revenue performance.
+ Develop and present Monthly, Quarterly, Annual and Long Range forecast plans and ad hoc analyses including margin trends
+ Analyze customer orders to inform forecast and work with business partners to understand potential revenue impacts of changes in ordering patterns
+ Own weekly and monthly updates to net revenue estimates and associated report-out to senior management, including customer / market developments as needed
+ Analyze Marketing assumptions for alignment with external perspectives, e.g. Servable Addressable Market sizing, market share, competitive intelligence
+ Maintain accuracy of production demand forecast
+ Prompt Marketing review / update of assumptions as needed per latest demand dynamics
+ Support and coordinate with Marketing on long-term strategic planning
+ Drive Marketing managers to complete required analyses within prescribed timing, leveraging standard tools provided by Business Process Manager

+ BS Degree in Economics, Finance, Quantitative Analysis, or Engineering
+ Over 3 years relevant experience in product research, financial planning and analysis, or demand forecasting
