About Appirio in the Netherlands

Appirio is expanding its Salesforce delivery team across Europe, the Benelux region is at the forefront of this expansion.   Appirio is already working on some of the largest global Salesforce implementations in the Benelux region, such as  Stryker, as well as large European companies headquartered in the Netherlands such as Staples Europe, Office Depot, Ceva Logistics and Friesland Campina.  

Brief Summary of Role

Our Technical Leads are the hub of the delivery team on projects. They should have a real passion for SFDC technology, showing drive to keep up to date with the latest functionality. They will be comfortable and authoritative when dealing with both the client and the Appirio team. They will show confidence when clarifying requirements with a BA, discussing project velocity and concerns with a PM and working on the design of the solution with the TA. In parallel, they will be adept at guiding developers to deliver the best product for the customer. Their day-to-day will involve making decisions on how a solution fits against the project's guidelines & timelines, the project team's skill-set and best practice. As well as the technical chops needed for the role, we highly value enthusiasm, initiative and a desire to engender a fun working atmosphere around them.


  • Lead a team of developers, ensuring high quality delivery by providing clear requirements and direction
  • Hands on design and development of custom solutions on the platform
  • Judges tradeoffs between technology, feasibility and best practice to make choices that fit the constraints of the project
  • Identify the varying skill-sets and levels within the team to appropriately assign work and guide the project in the best way possible
  • Works directly with clients to develop and deliver key components of technical solution
  • Lead technical discussions and workshops with clients
  • Understands Integration and Migration concepts and has experience with Salesforce APIs
  • Experience applying appropriate release management approaches in a professional capacity
  • Experience of raising warning flags about technical or project issues where appropriate
  • Experience of all phases of the project lifecycle
  • Contribute to development of peers as well as the CRM practice as a whole

Education and Required Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in a hands-on technical leadership position
  • 3+ years of Salesforce development experience
  • One or more current Salesforce certifications (PD1, PD2, Administrator, Sales/Service Cloud, Advanced Administrator) preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Fluent in English with other European languages preferable
  • Located in Amsterdam, the Netherlands
  • Able to travel up 40-60%
  • Candidates must be able to be able to freely travel across European countries for client work
