Status:              Temporary Full-time (12 months)


Altum Health is a department within the University Health Network with over 250 employees across several regional sites (Toronto, Cambridge, Barrie, Hamilton, Oakville, Ajax, Mississauga, Vaughan, Brampton and Scarborough). We offer a full continuum of prevention, rehabilitation, and health care services to third party payors and individuals, including the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB), employers, and insurers. Altum Health is the largest provider of WSIB Specialty Programs in the province of Ontario.

We are currently looking for an experienced Accounts Clerk for our Toronto site. The principal responsibilities of the Accounts Clerk include: performing clerical functions of a general nature following specific instructions, guidelines, and procedures; data entry; gathering and preparing data/information for inputting; maintaining electronic and paper information filing/retrieval system(s); providing standard clerical support as required; receiving, sorting, and registering incoming information to be entered into appropriate systems including invoices forms, records, etc.; performing a limited number of routine statistical and financial processing activities such as performing simple mathematical calculations; preparing simple billing sheets, receipts, invoices, and purchase orders; distributing requisitions and other materials to appropriate department/personnel; photocopying, filing, collating, and distributing materials as requested; proofreading, typing, and inputting basic data/information; and performing all other duties consistent with the job classification and as assigned by manager, as required.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Completion of Grade XII or recognized equivalent, Completion of Post-Secondary education preferred
• Good organizational and time management skills required
• Good interpersonal and communication skills required
• Very accurate data entry skills required
• Ability to perform routine work independently required.
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast paced environment
• Accurate with excellent attention to detail
• Excellent understanding of Microsoft Office – especially Excel and Word 2007
• Typing speed of 65-70 words per minute
