The New Business Group helps Hedge Funds clients integrate into Goldman Sachs. The team guides the onboarding of Prime Brokerage, Futures Clearing, DCS and GSEC clients. As an integral part of the Prime Services Client Franchise, the team works closely with our clients on new business, to understand their needs (e.g. markets, products, financing, reporting, coverage), and deliver a tailored solution by project managing each specific launch from the initial mandate to ‘go live’. For both start-ups and existing clients, we seamlessly deliver Goldman Sachs and its global resources by introducing clients to their coverage across the firm, enabling market access, product and report setup, and providing connectivity. The New Business Group also facilitates the documentation process which involves serving as the point of contact in legal negotiations, operational setup, and regulatory coordination.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
How you will fulfil your potential
- Coordinate client requests and liaise with other internal and external constituents
- Work closely with wider Prime teams to prioritize client launches and communicate that to all internal teams
- Drive forward and monitor progress of each launch and clearly escalate if there are issues
- Support senior members of the team with daily client inquiries
- Take ownership of clients as a junior member of the team
- Develop relationships with clients, 3rd party vendors and wider Equities franchise
Skills and Experiences we are looking for
- Relevant Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification with an excellent academic record
- Approximately 2 – 5 post qualification years of relevant experience
- Operations, Legal, Hedge fund (buy side) or prime brokerage (sell side) experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational, analytical skills, attention to detail
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to develop into client facing role
- Track record of team oriented success
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and operate under pressure

- Solid work ethics and high levels of motivation
- Hard working and strong willingness to learn
- Mandarin and/ or Cantonese preferred
