Main Purpose:

Global Head of Enterprise Risk Management
• The Global Head of ERM plays a crucial role in building capabilities and rolling out programs in the regions and countries; She/he builds deploy the right tools for risk measurement across the organization
• This includes implementing, developing or leading the risk management practices that enable the organization to make risk-effective decisions that create and sustain value

Global Head of Internal Controls
• The Head of Internal Control will be responsible for the implementation of Internal Control framework in line with Regulations and Company requirements
• Ensure that 1st line managers are appropriately defining and operating their controls to cover Puma Energy from the major risks it is exposed to
• Implement and perform second line control activities to ensure enforcement, challenge and improvement on a regular basis
• Ensure homogeneous reporting on Internal Control framework is delivered to Management to address deficiencies and decide relevant action plans
• Internal Control Team should ensure ultimately that in, key internal controls are implemented, documented, assessed and monitored in front of material risks with clear management accountabilities. The Internal Control function acts as a second line function in charge of validation and review of this internal control framework

Knowledge Skills and Abilities, Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the leadership, innovation, governance, and management necessary to identify, evaluate, mitigate, and monitor the company's operational and strategic risk
  • Develops Enterprise Risk Management tools, practices, and policies to analyze and report enterprise risks, and to manage risks according to an enterprise risk management framework
  • Ensures the organization's risk management policies and strategies are in compliance with applicable regulations, rating agency standards, and strategic imperatives of the organization
  • Establishes the Enterprise Risk Management architecture for the company
  • Oversees or monitors all operational risk management activities of the organization
  • Monitors and analyzes risks within the company's business units and reports on these risks to the Excom / Board
  • Chairs or provides key inputs into the company's enterprise risk or other committee that oversees the enterprise risk management process and ensures alignment with organizational objectives
  • Holds responsibility for Risk Management and / or Business Continuity Planning activities for the organization
  • Provide managers and management with the relevant Internal Control methodological support
  • Ensure key internal controls are defined, implemented, documented, assessed and monitored in front of material risks and in alinement with company organisation / operations.
  • Ensure internal control deliverables are consistent and at the required level of quality
  • Deliver adequate and timely reporting on Internal Control framework and control deficiencies in line with requirements to ensure appropriate escalation and adequate action plans
  • Ensure appropriate level of communication is maintained on Internal Control matters to support the framework and ensure appropriate ownership and accountabilities from management and managers. Develop adequate training material on the internal control objectives, approach and methodology
  • Document and ensure internal control documentation/policy is understood and agreed by management, control functions, auditors and regulators
  • Maintain Internal Control reporting tool


Mandatory Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.


  • At least 8/10 years in audit or risk management experience with emphasis on operational risks and internal controls


  • English language. Spanish would be a plus
  • Accounting and internal control
  • IFRS principle exposure
  • Energy downstream, distribution or retail sector a major asset
