This position will join Repligen’s Global Trade Compliance Team and be the subject matter expert for the EU and UK trade regulations. This is a highly visible role which will partner closely with many departments across the organization to provide strategic and operational guidance on trade compliance matters.
The ideal candidate must have a strong background and experience with EU import and export regulations, HS classifications, export control classifications, customs valuation, country of origin, duty free provisions and experience with government agency requirements. Experience in the life sciences industry along with SAP and Global Trade Services (GTS) proficiency is a requirement. This position is located at our new OPUS Column production site in Breda. Our OPUS Columns are plug-in purification columns which saves time in the production process of pharmaceutical products for our customers.
Manages the compliance of all import and export activities for multiple manufacturing and distribution sites within the EU.
Part of a global team that collaborates with Sales, Finance, Supply Chain and other department and key stake holders to provide strategic and operational guidance and creates policies and procedures to ensure global trade compliance across a fast-growing organization.
Research and determine possible cost savings with applicable duty-free provisions into the EU and UK.
HS and export product classification, customs documentation, and processing of applicable license and permit applications.
Manages and supports customs broker activities.
Assists in the implementation and daily activities of SAP and GTS.
Performs internal audits and assists in Customs audits, inspections and trade regulatory agency inquiries ensuring export and import records are maintained according to government regulations.
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain or INTL Trade Management.
Minimum of 7 years of trade compliance experience in life science industry.
Export Certification and Customs Broker License preferred.
Strong knowledge of the TARIC.
EU and UK Customs and government agency requirements experience.
HS and export control classification.
Proficient in SAP and GTS.
Professional communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
