What are we looking for:


As a graphic designer, you will be working with an Australian marketing agency that specializes in delivering social media marketing solutions, creating creative content, and optimizing online advertising across Australia. You will be responsible for creating visual concepts, by hand or using computer software, to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, or captivate consumers. Graphic designers combine art and technology to communicate ideas through images and the layout of websites and printed pages. They may use a variety of design elements to achieve artistic or decorative effects.


This role is 100% remote work.



As a designer your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Determine the message the design should portray

  • Help design landing pages and updated presentation slides

  • Conceptualizing visuals based on requirements that identify a product/service or convey a message

  • Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand

  • Develop graphics for product/service illustrations, social posts, and websites

  • Testing graphics across various media

  • Select colors, images, text style, and layout

  • Incorporate changes recommended by the clients into the final design


The designer may work on projects such as:

  • Facebook media ads

  • Branding Guideline documentation

  • Product graphics

  • Composite Image Design

  • Social media graphics and banner design

  • Email Template Design

  • Investor / Presentation Deck Design

  • Whitepaper Design

  • Landing Pages

  • Infographics Design

  • Print Collaterals Design (Roll-up banners, brochures, flyers, etc.)

  • Website Design

  • UX/UI Design and wireframe




Requirements


  • Analytical skills. Graphic designers must be able to look at their work from the point of view of their consumers and examine how the designs they develop will be perceived by the consumer to ensure they convey the client’s desired message.

  • Artistic ability. Graphic designers must be able to create designs that are artistically interesting and appealing to clients and consumers. They produce rough illustrations of design ideas, either by hand sketching or by using a computer program.

  • Communication skills. Graphic designers must communicate with the Creative Director, Project Managers, Developers and other designers to ensure that their designs accurately reflect the desired message and effectively express information.

  • Computer skills. Most graphic designers use specialized graphic design software to prepare their designs.

  • Creativity. Graphic designers must be able to think of new approaches to communicating ideas to consumers. They develop unique designs that convey a recognizable meaning on behalf of their clients.

  • Time-management skills. Graphic designers often work on multiple projects at the same time, each with a different deadline.



QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors or equivalent degree in Graphic Design or related discipline and 3+ years work experience in a related field, undergrads with relevant experience are welcome

  • Familiarity with web marketing designing practices

  • Experience in designing web graphics applications

  • Proficiency working with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and XD)

  • Ability to work methodically and meet tight deadlines

  • A keen eye for aesthetics and details

  • Experience in front-end development a major plus

  • Amenable to work on Australian business hours
