Our Platform Architecture and Engineering (PAE) team drives the platform solutions for Intel's entry into market segments served by high performance discrete graphics processors and hardware.

The Discrete Graphics Platform Architecture and Engineering (PAE) team is hiring multiple roles with diverse expertise in our Bangalore office. As a member of this team we are looking for expertise in the area of Graphics products.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Focus on both notebook and desktop graphics product pathfinding and delivers graphics core
  • Study competitive core area analysis for both notebook and desktop AIC products
  • Provides requirements / recommendation to internal teams on the package ballmap, product mappings for various silicon/power configurations
  • Works with system architects, design team, power delivery, signal & power integrity, package team & layout team on core area definition and optimization
  • Works with marketing and customer teams on the core area /cost - targets and trends
  • Working with package ball map owner on ball map optimization
  • Influences Silicon floorplan based on platform core optimization
  • Understands & learns the latest technologies (power delivery, thermal, PCB, etc) & design rule trends on arriving optimized core design for volume enablement
  • Come up with innovative solutions meeting the optimized core with improved performance
  • Works with customer on core targets and delivers early core design to key customers


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s /Master's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering (PhD will be highly desirable)
  • Minimum 12+ years of experience in system hardware design
  • Knowledge on system architecture (from Silicon to product level)
  • Knowledge on silicon die floorplan & ball map optimization methodologies
  • Knowledge on GPU & CPU Packages & advanced package technologies
  • Knowledge of power delivery architecture, components & topologies
  • Knowledge of hardware design, Signal integrity, Power Integrity, PCB technologies
  • Knowledge on high speed interfaces (display, PCIe, etc) and memories (DDR, LPx & GDDRx)
  • Knowledge on thermal and mechanical design meeting system level requirements
  • Strong organization, communication and decision-making skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively across multiple disciplines, such as ODM/OEM customers, marketing, silicon design, package design, system design
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment
  • Great team player, willing to learn and flexible
