GroupM is the world’s largest media investment company and are a part of WPP. In fact, we are responsible for one in every three ads you see globally. We are currently looking for a Search & Programmatic Media Manager to join us. In this role, you will be responsible for thinking strategically, managing search and programmatic tactics within campaigns, delivering performance optimizations, and maintaining good working relationships with external partners. Also, the Search & Programmatic Media Manager will manage the search & programmatic team.

In this role, your goals will be:
In three months:

  • Up-to-speed and taken ownership of the programmatic business at GroupM Japan agencies including MediaCom, Mindshare, L’Atelier, and Wavemaker.
  • Built a good relationship with the key decision makers on client side and within agency
  • Understood GroupM’s value proposition in the context of Japan for the importance of the digital approach

In six months:

  • Developed strategic direction towards Programmatic at the company.
  • Developed data driven advertising offering. Working with data partners in the market as well as internally at GroupM.
  • Taken control of major clients running programmatic and improved the operation across these.
  • Actively support digital output and strategy on major integrated pitches, and potential support on regional/global pitches
  • Build and grow our publisher partnerships and their agency involvement across all client business.

In 12 months:

  • Responsible for driving programmatic Innovation and data driven advertising topics across the whole agency.
  • Cemented the value stream with key data partners in the market.
  • Represents GroupM Japan nternally & externally in Digital related topics.

  • Grasp the competence of members and make appropriate business arrangements.

Media Planning

  • Create strategies that deliver client marketing goals via search and programmatic
  • Develop data-driven media approaches and targeting strategies
  • Create keywords and creative ideas in collaboration within integrated team
  • Develop tracking strategies aligned with measurement requirements
  • Manage orders with external partners

Reporting and Optimization

  • Visualize campaign effects and provide analysis of causes/attribution
  • Develop an optimization plans and review with clients

Collaboration with Partner Companies

  • Communicate effectively with platform partners, tool vendors, etc.
  • Track with market developments and share with clients
  • Adjust and negotiate, as necessary

Cooperation with Global Network (directly, or through translator/interpreter)

  • Daily communication with offices in other markets
  • Information exchange and reporting, as necessary
