For our site in Ulm we are looking for a "Head of department Quality Engineering/Product/Project-Radar/IFF (f/m/d)".
The department ensures that the processes are applied effectively in the projects and on products, taking into account the contractual requirements, and that the project-relevant QA tasks are performed efficiently. This ensures that the project and product goals are achieved within the performance, time and cost framework at low risk. The Project Quality Assurers (PQA) are assigned to the project core teams of the Radar IFF business lines via the product and project lifecycle. They work closely with the project managers and product managers and are appointed at the start of the planning phase. Within the quality organization, we work together with the neighboring departments Production-Q, Procurement-Q, Configuration Management, Business System, Audit and Certification.
Disciplinary and technical leadership as well as further development of the assigned Project Quality Assurers (PQAs)
Planning of the necessary resources
Representation of the quality organization in program/project and quality management circles, as well as in relation to Government Quality Assurance Representative (GQAR) and in audits
Collaboration on Q-strategies and goals. Derivation of goals for the assigned area of responsibility
Assurance and responsibility of the quality activities in the associated programs and projects
Planning and execution of all Q tasks over the entire product life cycle
Consulting and training of employees in the implementation of valid Q-regulations
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Management
Several years of Q experience in a responsible position in the field of military and civil avionics programs
Experience in implementing improvement initiatives and -projects
Experience in personnel management, leadership competence and team skills are essential
Sound knowledge of Q systems, military and civil
Knowledge of risk and requirements management applications
Knowledge of process models such as V-Model and SAFe
Ability to work in a complex, international and multifunctional environment
Independent work as PQA is assumed
Negotiating skills, assertiveness and ability to reach consensus in dealing with different interest groups
Ability to work interdisciplinary and solution-oriented
Very good knowledge in German and English
