The Head of GT France manages a team responsible for all Group Treasury activities for ING France. The team is responsible for managing the balance sheet as well as the market, funding, and liquidity risk for the bank. The Head of GT France also acts as a strategic advisor to the local board.
We seek a person to manage the Group Treasury team in ING France. ING France is a rapidly growing domestic bank that is a challenger of the traditional French banks, both in Wholesale Banking and on-line Retail Banking. As Head of GT France, your responsibility is to manage the liquidity and funding profile of the business, market risk positions, the capital, and balance sheet for a bank that combines both retail and wholesale activities. You will support the growth strategy from funding, liquidity, and investment portfolio perspectives by serving as advisor to the ING France Management Board. You will manage the positions in various GT books, including liquidity risk, funding risk, interest rate risk, FTP, and cash management. You will be expected to meet MTP targets, including P&L goals of the GT books. You will be responsible for advising the business lines on pricing and potential balance sheet risks of lending and deposit products. Finally, as a member of the functional GT organization you will be able to balance local sheet and/or market and funding considerations with the consolidated ING Bank NV balance sheet perspective. You benefit from the functional GT organization and can utilize the divisional treasurer for C&G.
Your work environment
You will manage a team of 2 people consisting of experienced professionals of financial markets and liquidity management. You will be based in a country with a large and rapidly changing banking sector, where you will contribute to the growing footprint of ING in both the retail and wholesale banking areas. You will report to the CFO of ING France (Raissa Tete) and functionally to GT’s Divisional Treasurer C&G (Boris Dunnewijk). You will be in close contact with the other Global Heads of the GT organization and local management board members to enable fluid and transparent communication and information exchange regarding GT’s areas of responsibility.
You are a leader with strong communication skills. You have a Master’s degree and more than 5 years of work experience in a treasury/capital and/or financial markets environment. You feel comfortable interacting with managing board level management as well as Wholesale Banking, Retail Banking, Finance, and Risk departments. You have excellent interpersonal skills and multicultural awareness and sensitivity. You feel at ease in a trading environment and perform well under pressure. You adhere to the ING values.
You are able to blend in with a diverse environment and to create multi-department teams to support GT activities combining local talent with functional capacities from the global GT environment.
