Microelectronic Circuits Centre Ireland (MCCI) is an EI / IDA technology centre hosted at Tyndall National Institute. MCCI is already actively collaborating with 26 member companies and many of our staff transfer into the thriving microelectronics industry in Ireland on completion of research. Our research is addressing key challenges in Future Communications, Medical Technology and Smart Agriculture, through advancing the state of the art in Precision Circuits, RF Circuits, Optical transceivers and Power Management.
MCCI invites applications for a Head of RF Transceivers.
Reporting to the MCCI Director, the Head of RF Transceivers will be, responsible for building and leading an R&D Group to advance the state of the art in RF circuits.
In this role, they will create the RF research roadmap, by engaging with industry to identify their individual research needs. They deliver on the research roadmap by growing collaborations with academic and industrial partners driving increased funding to expand the group and ensure its long-term sustainability. They will be leading a number of other senior research staff, as well as post-docs and PhD students.
Key Responsibilities
Appointment may be made on the Senior Admin IV Grade scale B (new entrants) salary scale €81,356 to €97,274 per annum. Salary placement on appointment will be in accordance with public sector pay policy.
