Be part of the development and implementation of innovative, differentiating and sustainable products and solutions, particularly in the Concrete & Aggregates field. As Head of the Concrete & Aggregates Department, with around 40 people, and member of the Executive Committee, you will be responsible for the roadmap of the activity and the innovation process, and act as force of proposal to guarantee a significant impact on LH growth of revenues and profit, delivering short-term results while proposing, preparing and initiating longer term innovative product and solutions.

Open to new businesses, and new environments, the ideal candidate will have a strong and successful experience in building materials and construction systems development infrastructure/construction ecosystems. A keen sense of ownership, innovation management approach, and scrappiness is a must.

As Head of Department

  • Define the orientations and innovation actions in Concrete & Aggregates domains, short and long term.
  • Advise by his concrete / RMX expertise various projects
  • Give technical support to countries through “Service Requests” (roughly 100 /year): trainings, litigations, support on large construction projects
  • Trigger or lead early business opportunity studies, in-house or outsourced
  • Ensure a regular watch in Concrete & Aggregates R&D fields
  • Manage with Intellectual Property team the RMX & AGG LH patent portfolio
  • Manage quality and traceability of all results and experiments within his department
  • Manage equipment and characterization devices within his department (from lab to pilot scale)Manage safety within his department
  • Capitalize knowledge through software
  • Develop competencies and skills of the team, attract and retain expertise staff with a business consciousness, to ensure the alignment with project needs

As Project Manager for low carbon concrete solutions

  • Manage functionally a project team of 15-20 people including PhDs, engineers and technicians in contact with sponsor countries, to bring solutions to market
  • Challenge project team and be responsible of its innovation excellence and continuous development
  • Manage Intellectual properties through the project and contracts in collaboration with legal department
  • Ensure a strong written and oral communication around the project internally and externally
  • Ensure a strong collaboration with stakeholders: contractors, designers, start-ups, academia, public authorities

As referent for ReadyMix Business Excellence and Concrete & Aggregates Business Excellence

  • Participate to the Group Expert team and promote innovation through countries.
  • Help countries to define their concrete innovation portfolio (for eg Spain, USA at the moment)
  • Participate to country performance reviews
  • Develop an advanced knowledge of the customers pain points and shape R&D project to fit with the business needs in collaboration with business teams

  • Engineering/Scientific Master degree, preferably with a PhD, in a domain related to Civil Engineering and/or Materials
  • Strong and successful experience in building materials and construction systems development, demonstrating high-level technical background and operational/R&D experience, in an international environment
  • Experience in establishing strong external partnerships to generate profitable developments, including with contractors, architects and engineers
  • Management of transversal projects in a multicultural and multidisciplinary environment
