To lead such change, we are forming a Solutions team in Singapore, which orchestrates how we join up our practitioners across our 3 Service Lines in Singapore. This function will:

  • Focus on pursuing strategic and sizeable integrated Singapore-led client opportunities in partnership with leaders and practitioners across our Service Lines.

  • Service both existing and new large opportunity clients; including supporting our APAC Solutions team.

  • Focus on winning and architecture – delivery and revenue sits in the brands

  • Support building a Solutions community and teaming platform

The purpose of this role is to:

  • The purpose of this role is to establish and operate a growth practice, setting the growth strategy for dentsu international in Singapore

  • Achieve business results by collaborating with business leaders and practitioners in Singapore and across APAC

  • Establishes and executes the growth strategy focused on new logo and cross/up-sell to existing clients

  • Oversees demand generation, account growth planning and proactive targeting strategy for driving pipe volume

  • Manage a large pipeline of deal flow and enforces adherence to the standard growth methodology

  • Develop and leverage strong working relationships with leadership to align on targeted services, strong value propositions, pricing, process and support structure to drive growth

  • P&L ownership for sales and subsequent tools and support required to generate and win new business

  • Ensure coordination with Service Lines and Alliance Partnerships to grow company revenue

  • Lead and develop a high performing Growth focused team


Commercial Edge

  • In collaboration with the Singapore CEO and Singapore Chief Strategy Officer, design a plan to seize new business opportunities and achieve annual targets. Track, measure and communicate progress against these.

  • The plan could specify key areas of opportunity (industry sector) and size of client and set a minimum number of chemistry meetings to be secured, with a target of a number to convert

  • Coach new business teams to work collaboratively with Strategy, Planning and Specialist teams to deliver innovative, ambitious and differentiated pitch presentations. Ensuring that:

    • Pitch teams have innovative future focused ‘story credits’ and marketing tools that enable them to sell dentsu integrated growth solutions

    • The right pitch team is united to deliver outstanding, creative ideas that are uniquely dentsu and deliver clients objectives

    • Pitch fee structure that can deliver profitability/ROI targets

  • Build prospect pipeline and continuously strive to identify and convert target prospects that extend brand reputation, build profitable relationships

  • Proactively build credible relationships across dentsu to identify and action cross selling opportunities that maximise income

Strategic Focus

  • Unite with business leadership teams and other specialists to identify, set targets and action new business development opportunities across existing and potential clients

  • Own and implement strategic events to showcase dentsu expertise and strategic thought leadership to current and potential clients, key industry stakeholders and broader business community

  • Keep pace with change, continuously ensure self and team have strong insights into external market conditions, global macroeconomic trends and their likely future impact. Use to deliver innovative, strategic new business solutions

External Relationship Management

  • Use branded communication as a platform to engage credibly with clients, industry stakeholders and wider business community at the most senior level to build stronger relationships

  • Work with network to build target prospect list and maximise new business opportunities at every touch point

  • Consult with clients and prospects to sell innovative new business solutions

Delivery Excellence

  • Kick start, own and implement new pitch process that delivers dentsu Solutions’ mission

  • Resource and unite team to deliver winning client pitch content that sells value of dentsu’s core and diversified products and services

  • Relentlessly work to facilitate the adoption of new better, more effective working practices to drive margin increases

  • Collaborate with Strategy and Client leadership communities to create and manage client (current and prospect) list. Implement contact action plan to maximise income

Mobilisation - Team

  • Galvanise team across to collaborate and make business development a priority to deliver targets

  • Create a collaborative, ambitious team culture that delivers consistent high performance:

    • Provide regular feedback to new business team on business performance and ensure team connects and works collaboratively across dentsu

    • Set stretch targets for new business teams

    • Work with new business team to encourage continuous learning across whole team making people accountable for their own development

  • Act as coach and mentor transferring knowledge and expertise to create a high performing team

  • Take personal responsibility for own development, constantly striving to know and learn more


  • At least 10 years of experience in sizeable new business development (Regional/multi-market experience is preferred)

  • Strong commercial edge

  • Experience in a similar capacity in a broad range of global MNCs, working with multiple markets and cultures

  • Excellent project management skills, capable of helping to run large-scale pitches

  • Razor-sharp attention to detail

  • Ability to develop strategic plans/ideas

  • Excellent written and verbal communication.

  • An understanding of creative and media, and ‘packaging’ of ideas/presentations.

  • Identifies key market and consumer trends

  • Works collaboratively and with purpose

  • Understands how to deliver through and with others in a way that motivates and drives high performance

  • Leads by example and work with an attitude of ‘it’s up to me to make it happen

  • Recognised track record of developing plans that deliver substantial new business growth

  • Digitally savvy and experienced, with a passion for new technology

  • People Management

  • Leading high profile new business

  • Exposure and work experience with senior marketing departments

  • An excellent communicator – provide clear correspondence and specifically well-written e-mails to ensure all expectations and details are understood by all

  • Possesses superior presentation skills – both in-person and over the phone

  • Meets commitments and complete tasks as agreed and within agreed timeframes

  • Ability to manage internal and external senior stakeholders, escalating issues immediately when appropriate


  • Has a “hunter” instinct and mindset, driven to search, pursue and convert new clients

  • Direct experience leading regional/global multi-agency clients at holding company level

  • Gravitas and established profile in the industry

  • Ability to attract client and talent based on reputation and track record

  • Experience being client facing, building trusted relationships with senior/exec level clients

  • Has the highest level of integrity and ethics.- safeguard proprietary information of clients and of employer

  • Thought leader in the industry sought after for perspective and leadership opportunities

  • Thrives under pressure and excels in meeting strict deadlines

  • Diplomatic, able to develop strong relationships with key network stakeholders at all levels within the business

  • Capable of picking up projects and running with them

  • Ambitious self-starter, able to spot ideas and inspiration

  • Multiple language skills desirable, but not essential

  • Reputation for being a collaborative problem solver
