Minimum qualifications:

  • Experience as Technical Sales Engineer in a cloud computing environment, or customer/partner-facing role working on professional services, solutions architect or systems engineering team.
  • Experience in a people manager role.
  • Experience building and leading technical sales or consulting teams across multiple geographies.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Big Data, PaaS, SaaS, IaaS, public cloud, and related industry and technical concepts.
  • Ability to craft a compelling message and tailor it for a given audience.

As Head of Partner Sales Engineering, you will help build a robust and self-sufficient partner ecosystem capable of driving a significant portion of our business through an indirect channel. You will be a trusted advisor to our partners who are supported every step of the way in growing their businesses with Google Cloud. You will manage a team that are seen as Partner Sales Engineers within the overall customer engineering organization in Google Cloud.



You will work with Google Cloud Partner and Sales leadership to grow and develop the technical capacity of our Google Cloud partner ecosystem. You will help recruit, launch, and grow our partners, enabling their technical teams and assisting them and joint customers in their technical journey with Google Cloud.



The primary role is to become a trusted advisor to our partners, executives, and prospects, winning hearts and minds and helping them get as much value out of our platform as possible. Your sub-regional team of Partner Sales Engineers should be an ally to the Partner Manager in every situation, using both technical and business skill sets to move things forward as efficiently as possible. Customer and Partner success is paramount.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Google Cloud partner development managers to build business plans with partners that define how they will grow their business with Google.
  • Work with key partners to increase the adoption of Google Cloud services by investing in building out their Google Cloud capability and readiness.
  • Engage with Chief Technical Officers and other technical leads at key partners to share technology roadmaps as well as the latest innovations, showing the path toward expanding the partnership further.
