The OPG uses our portfolio of product solutions to help online publishers grow their businesses. We provide innovative online advertising solutions for publishers and developers and proactively identify new opportunities.

In this role, you will lead the North American (NA) Web business, developing a web growth plan and leading a team of strategic partner managers to contribute to and execute on that plan. Additionally, you will work with the global leadership team to ensure we have a sustainable global strategy.

Google helps our partners find better ways to reach their audiences and manage their digital businesses. In return, our partners provide great content for our products, and they syndicate Google products to enhance their sites and apps. Global Partnerships team members expand and nurture these relationships by continually finding new opportunities and solving technical problems for our partners. The wider Global Partnerships team includes a variety of different organizations, including CorpDev, Emerging Business Development, Strategy and Operations, Google for Entrepreneurs, Area 120 and our Display Advertising Business.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Apps partnerships business and teams by setting direction/priorities, sponsoring strategic accounts and continuously monitoring progress to optimize impact.
  • Collaborate with global teams to ensure mutual improvement while contributing to the growth and strategic direction of Google’s products.
  • Develop and grow the skills of team members, managers and independent contractors to optimize their contributions.
  • Represent our partners in front of cross-functional collaborators inside and outside our Online Partnerships Group (OPG).
  • Monitor industry trends, the competitive landscape and identify risks while taking preemptive actions to mitigate.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in a partner management and/or business development leadership management strategy role.
  • Ability to speak and write in English and Mandarin fluently and idiomatically.

Preferred qualifications:
  • MBA.
  • Experience in internet, advertising, e-commerce, publishing and online services.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and designate responsibilities, excellent interpersonal skills and experience with consultative selling and sales management.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor team members, including evaluate performance and provide feedback.
  • Demonstrated success working with cross-functional teams and building strong relationships across departments.
  • Distinctive problem-solving and analytical skills, combined with effective business acumen to deliver tangible impact.
