Versent is a rapidly growing services, product and platform company that works exclusively on AWS. We have offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Denver and Singapore and have grown to over 350 people in just five years!

We are the Australian AWS Consulting partner for the Year for the 3rd time and recently became a Snowflake and Talend Partner. We believe in bringing craftsmanship back to technology, because as artisans, we passionately care about the quality outcomes we leave behind.

We have some of the best tech talent in Australia and due to some recent client wins, we're looking to bring on an additional Head of Delivery in our rapidly expanding Perth office. The Heads of Delivery at Versent work closely with the Account Managers to develop future opportunities and maintain the commercial outcomes within the account/s. They provide delivery, people and stakeholder leadership across Versent engagements within key strategic accounts. The role is integral in ensuring Versent engagements enable customers to achieve their transformational uplift while maintaining and exhibiting Versent’s cultures and values.

This is a leadership role developing relationships with key stakeholders across Versent and their customers to build rapport and trust; act as a leader to develop engagement teams and develop team members for success.

Our HoDs have been around the block a few times and have some battle scars from building and designing successful solutions for clients. They have worked with and led teams of Consultants and Engineers, and worked closely with Account Managers and Delivery experts. They understand the Corporate Wheel of Death (Risk, Security, Governance, Finance, etc…) and have worked through these issues successfully in the past.

Our Head of Delivery in Perth will ideally have a strong technical understanding and be well networked within the Perth AWS market. Extensive experience in the delivery of cloud transformations and migration projects is a must.


People wanting to become a Head of Delivery at Versent have the following skills;

Delivery Management

– Empowers and supports delivery teams to achieve engagement outcomes in line with Versent delivery processes and practices. Act as escalation point for Versent engagement teams, actively engaging with the teams to collectively resolve issues and risks. Responsible for the collation of accurate delivery reports to ensure financial and operational outcomes are management effectively.

People Leadership:

– Actively engage, develop and effectively manage team members to Versent Values, creating and maintaining a positive, goal-orientated culture where constructive feedback is encouraged, calculated risks are taken, and trust is fostered. Working with the recruitment team to effectively attract a skilled and diverse team.

Demand Planning

– Engages with the Account Managers and General Managers to balance the demand and skillset of committed engagements to ensure all utilisation targets are met and team members are assigned work against their development plan, in a timely manner.

Customer Partnering

– Manage and develop trusted relationships with customers and partners to deliver on the stakeholder strategy by effectively identifying requirements, developing and implementing, to ensure the agreed outcomes are received and a successful adoption of the transformation is achieved according to the business case.

Commercial Management

– Effectively engaging with relevant internal stakeholders to review all commercials for engagements within scope to ensure are achievable, both on time and in scope, within the commercials terms before entering into engagement. Partner with sales team to develop continuity of revenue.
