Who you are

The HR Business Partner will be responsible for operational delivery of the entire HR spectrum across Australia, Singapore, Canada, UK, and Europe, with the exception of Bosnia. This role will be tasked with delivery of the People Strategy including talent acquisition and retention along with the provision of HR advice to management and employees. Also a top priority is working closely with local and remote leaders to ensure HR risk is managed, and our fun, innovative, high-performing culture is maintained.

In this role you will wear many hats but your skills will be especially essential in the following:

  • Provide strategic business partnership and coaching to people managers to positively impact the motivation, development and retention of talent.
  • Provide timely and accurate HR advice and guidance to all staff, flagging risks and issues to the regional manager or Global People Team
  • Serve as subject-matter expert concerning HR requirements and regulations related to employment, compensation and employee relations.
  • Partner with People Team to deploy talent programs (performance assessment & review, succession planning, development planning).
  • Partner with senior business leaders and Learning & Development, to conduct learning needs assessments, establish development priorities and promote development resources to employees.
  • Assist with the delivery of employee engagement initiatives and help to increase the engagement scores of each region
  • Responsible for building effective, credible and professional relationships with senior leaders and teams in all
  • Assist with the talent acquisition process, up to and including preparation of employment contracts, onboarding and inductions. Assist with all stages of recruitment, including screening candidates, conducting interviews, and providing advice on all hiring
  • Assist managers in responding to conduct or performance issues. Provide guidance in the processes for performance management and disciplining employees, aligned to local
  • Be the conduit between HR and finance for payroll, benefits, parental and annual
  • Participate as a key member of the Global People team and implement global
  • Manage the continuous improvement cycle across all policies and business

What you bring to the team

  • Must hold a HR degree and/or qualification
  • 4+ years experience as a HR Generalist or HR Business Partner or a very similar position
  • Must be able to analyse and present information in such a way that is understood by everyone within the organisation
  • Extremely well organised and methodical in approach to problem solving
  • A self-motivated individual who doesn’t need to be closely managed on a daily basis
  • Excellent communication skills, interpersonal and written, and happy to work across a range of timezones. Excellent English skills and it’s a bonus if you can speak German
  • It would be beneficial to have an understanding of local HR legislation, company policies and processes – however a lot of this can be taught on the job
  • Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders to achieve business outcomes
  • Experience in a fast paced, dynamic work environment
  • Ability to accurately assess complex issues and identify potential solutions
  • Competency in various HR systems and Microsoft Office

Adhere to industry best practice coding standards and verify all code developed at Virgin Pulse is free from bugs and security vulnerabilities such as those defined and published by OWASP.
