The Chevron Business Support Center (BASSC), located in Buenos Aires (Puerto Madero), Argentina, is accepting online internal applications for the position of Human Resources Business Partner. Successful candidates will join the Human Resources Shared Service Center which is part of a successful multifunction service center with a workforce of more than 1300 employees delivering business services and solutions across the globe.

The HR Business Partner provides a wide variety of HR services that align business needs and HR policies and procedures. Advises business leaders and employees on workforce issues. Provides oversight and guidance on day-to-day Human Resources operations. This role is both hands-on and strategic and provides expertise in the areas of coaching, development, leadership, organizational management, culture, conflict management, employee relations, workforce planning, performance management, compensation, employee retention, and ad hoc projects as necessary.

HR Business Partners are passionate about their work and help deliver positive change every day. They influence the design and implementation of Human Resources initiatives and programs to meet business needs. HR Business Partners support major customers/clients and leads projects of medium scope and complexity under limited supervision. Detailed knowledge of most aspects of the work function.

About the role:

  • Partner with BU leaders and managers to understand business drivers, needs and challenges. Adaptability and Capability to learn the business of your client.

  • Be a credible activist for employees and functions. Ensure employees concerns are managed and resolved through compassion, empathy, and systematic approach.

  • Support employee engagement and change management activities.

  • Advise, mentor/coach and guide employees and management to develop positive employee engagement capability and leadership skills.

  • Advise on HR policies and procedures, demonstrated expertise in HR topics. Consult and advise on talent reviews and all career development activities the company provides.

  • Partner with Projects and Analytics within BHR Ops on the gathering and creating of meaningful insights and on implementation of special projects.

  • May sit on leadership teams and have functional scope for the functional leader they support.

About you:

  • 5+ years’ experience in Human Resources. Previous experience as HR Business supporting leaders preferred.

  • Relevant HR diverse experience across distinct functions supporting business leaders.

  • Experience in providing counsel in Human Resource policies / processes and demonstrated experience in dealing with ambiguity and confidential information and situations.

  • Strong customer service focus and an ability to communicate clearly and concisely in writing and verbally.

  • Demonstrated critical thinking, investigative skills, and problem-solving ability.

  • Proven ability to take initiative and operate autonomously in ambiguous environments.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams to address complex situations/issues and implement solutions.
