As Unit HR Manager South & Brussels you drive the HR and people agenda for Brussels South of Belgium (Gosselies & Herstal) and Luxembourg. You support the achievement of KONE’s business objectives and you contribute to the ongoing development of the business by aligning the HR and people agenda so that the outcomes meet KONE’s current and future business needs. You drive the actions to attract, engage, develop, and motivate employees and develop KONE as a great place to work together with other HR teams. You follow the guidance from global/area/local Unit HR Director, HR Centers of Expertise (CoE) teams and respective Management Teams.
As Unit HR Manager you act as business partners. You focuse on advising, coaching and developing line managers and their teams and you participate in the HR service delivery. You promote the usage of the HR service delivery model in their units and proactively share feedback and business requirements to different HR teams and help them to turn those into actions that improve HR service delivery.
The role is based in Brussels but requires a significant presence in the different branches (Gosselies, Herstal & Foetz).

You Successfully drive HR and people agenda and participate to the design, development, and delivery of different actions so that the outcomes meet KONE’s current and future business needs. You attract, engage, develop, and motivate employees and develop KONE as a great place to work. You work together with other HR teams to achieve these.
You work together with other HR teams to deliver and achieve success in the following areas:
Learning and Development (e.g. competence and talent development priorities, leadership team and critical talent development, global program nominations, training needs and priorities)
Talent Management (e.g. talent management and acquisition strategy, talent management and acquisition guidelines, workplace equality, diversity and inclusion, key positions identification, leadership and talent review, long-term workforce planning, critical candidate selection, headcount review)
Performance and Reward
HR Operations Development - e.g. manage organization and positions, plan headcount and employment costs
You’ll also be involved in :
Organizational Development - e.g. organization design, restructuring and job evaluation
Culture and engagement - e.g. strategy and values communication, nurturing KONE culture
Change management - e.g. driving business transformation in units.
You’ll be expected to understand business requirements and strategic objectives and help to turn them into HR and people agenda priorities together with the Unit HR Director, HR CoE’s and HR Services teams.
You will drive the alignment and consistency and take responsibility for the implementation and maintenance of HR policies, processes and systems to ensure HR is aligned with the business strategy and goals.
You will ensure employees and their competence levels meet current and future business needs (long and short term workforce planning, deployment of strategic workforce plan, monitor and analyze headcount cost development)
You will develop annual HR budgets in line with global budgeting guidelines.
You will scan market trends and current way of operating to identify gaps and feed these into Unit HR, HR CoE’s, and HR Services teams and collaborate with them on a daily basis.
As a successful Unit HR Manager South & Brussels you have :
M.Sc. or Bachelor degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
5-7 years of progressive Human Resources experience, preferably in multinational company
Business experience is an asset
Diverse HR background either from Unit HR and HR Center of Expertise roles or both
Proven track record of successful roles in multi-cultural business environment
Excellent influencing and communication skills
Diverse experience in coaching and developing talent and teams
Experience in working across functional/business lines in a global matrix organization
Hands-on project management and change management experience
Fluency in French, Dutch and English. German is a nice-to-have.
