Sephora Thailand opened its first store in the year 2013, it now operates 9 stores with 2 flagships in Siam Centre and Emquartier. Projected to have 19 stores in the year 2020.


Job Responsibilities

The mission for the HR Manager role is to create and lead strategic people initiatives for Sephora Thailand. You will devise and deploy an innovative human resources strategy and policy framework that enables the organisation to meet its business objectives via a skilled and engaged workforce. You will take ownership of the development and successful deployment of best practice processes for recruiting, payroll, people development, internal communications, recognising and rewarding teams at both retail and corporate level. You will have the ultimate responsibility for all people/HR-based activities within the Thailand business from both an operational and strategic perspective. Reporting to the Thailand General Manager with a functional reporting into the HR VP SEA, you will lead a growing and dynamic HR team.


Workforce Planning and Recruitment

  • Analyse the local labour market and monitor and manage organisation structure, workforce headcount and manpower costs to support business objectives.
  • Actively participate to the openings of the Sephora stores.
  • Drive a robust succession planning and talent development outcomes for the country.
  • Prepare and manage HR budget, working closely with Finance on variance and forecasting of people cost.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual headcount report to HQ for tracking of employee turnover, absenteeism, diversity etc.


Strategic Human Capital Management

  • Craft and deploy the appropriate human capital strategies and people programs for a high- growth market.
  • Participate in organisation design and review and deploy programs and initiatives to enable growth strategies.
  • Guide and deploy change management practices to support the growth objectives of the country.


Business Partnering

  • Build collaborative and trusting personal relationship with key stakeholders, anticipating business needs and implement appropriate initiatives.
  • Working with the functional heads to build organization and people capabilities, improving workforce profile to increase efficiencies for long term business growth.
  • Support and facilitate talent development

Compensation & Benefits

  • Work with Regional Compensation and Benefits on salary and benefits benchmarking exercises and surveys to establish and maintain a competitive reward structure
  • Develop new, as well as review and enhance existing reward policies to ensure compliance and relevance

Performance Management

  • Manage the Annual Performance Review and Annual Salary Review & Promotion cycles.
  • Work with Business Units to ensure timely submissions including appropriate justifications for promotion recommendations.
  • Coach and provide guidance to Managers on managing performance issues at all levels, including performance coaching and Performance Improvement Plans, and providing support with staff exits when necessary.

Employee Relations

  • Prepare and manage all interaction with the local authority on employment legislation. Responsible for the collective bargaining

Others

  • Coach and mentor managers on dealing with employee relation issues
