Job Description

The HRIS Lead is the subject matter expert for all HR Systems within MAX Solutions. The HRIS Lead is to provide leadership and support for the Human Resources function in relation to HR Systems. This includes supporting ongoing enhancements to the functionality of the systems that underpin human resource management business processes. This will include business analysis and development of business processes, system configuration and support, data analytics and timely delivery of HR projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Identify business requirements for HR functions and the system capabilities to meet those requirements, in consultation with relevant HR Leads and other business stakeholders
  • Analyse and establish ongoing methods, procedures and processes to resolve HR operational and compliance issues and data integrity, with recommendations on strategies for addressing the issues, following consultation with users and other stakeholders
  • Design and develop analytical metrics and dashboards, collate and analyse reports to support business decision process
  • Set up and maintain the performance cycle within the HR systems
  • In conjunction with the payroll team, support and maintain the payroll system and its interactions with other HR and Corporate systems including Active Directory, LMS and Applicant Tracking System
  • Configure the HR Systems to meet business objectives
  • Perform support and issue resolution for HR Systems across the HR Function
  • Assist in the development and implementation of project communication plans, user training and other activities associated with change management
  • Develop Test case scenarios
  • Work closely with members of the Information Technology team to ensure that the HR data is captured accurately, and integrity is maintained
  • Comply with all WHS procedures ensuring that team members including volunteers and contractors abide by all relevant health and safety procedures
  • Act as a role model by demonstrating safe work behaviours and report all accidents, incidents or near misses immediately.

Required Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in using and understanding cloud-based HR systems, preferably within a large organization
  • Experience in business process review and associated consultation with users and other stakeholders
  • Proven experience with process engineering and mapping
  • Experience in configuring corporate systems and developing specifications for custom reports
  • Experience in presenting briefing and training sessions
  • Experience in writing SQL queries. Power BI/SSRS/SSIS experience will be advantageous
  • Experience in iCIMS ATS, Aurion or Cornerstone OnDemand (CSOD) suite will be advantageous, but not essential
  • Experience in building and promoting change and continuous improvement
  • Demonstrated experience in working effectively with vendors to deliver agreed and contracted outcomes.

Qualifications/Requirements - Mandatory

  • 3 years + experience in a technical HRIS role
  • Track record of strong business partnership and cross functional collaboration within a dynamic, fast paced environment; a strategic leader who takes initiative and ownership
  • Hold or have the ability to obtain a current Police Clearance and Working with Children Check.

Qualifications/Requirements – Preferred but not essential

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems, preferably iCIMS
  • Experience with LMS and Payroll systems, preferably Cornerstone and Aurion.
