Ruhr we search for an experienced HSE Coordinator (f/m/d) Responsibilities and job description Job Purpose: To provide advice and support, coordination, information and monitoring on all aspects of workplace safety, environmental protection and fire prevention as well as environmental management. In specialist sectors as contact person for external enquiries in connection with the above-mentioned duties. Protecting Vesuvius GmbH Mülheim under consideration of legal and internal specifications in the sectors of health, safety and environment and fire protection. Continuously identify opportunities for improvement Lead workshops and projects resulting in tangible key performance indicator improvement. Key Result Areas: To inform Line Management of any deviations resulting from the non-compliance with legal requirements and stipulations, and to provide advice on corrective action. To advise and support the specialist departments in the sectors of health, safety and environment and fire protection. HSE Group Reporting. To cooperate in employee motivation in the health, safety and environment sector (inhouse magazine, bulletin board notices, instructioning etc.). To carry out other tasks resulting from the appointment as safety professional according to German regulation – statutory accident insurance – and fire protection representative. Problem Solving & Complexity The high frequency of changes in the relevant regulations requires the employee to monitor these vigilantly and undergo extensive complementary training in the sectors of health, safety and environment and fire protection. A high standard of performance in the sectors of health, safety and environment and fire protection is necessary to ensure the compliance with the requirements of the legislation on these sectors. This assures the operational capability of the site. This is what you bring Specialist Knowledge: a degree in technical subjects (preferably in safety technology) and have gained at least 5 years’ experience in the chemical or related industry. Extensive safety-related knowledge, preferably as Safety Professional Qualification as Fire Protection Representative. Qualification as REACH-Representative. Qualification as Dangerous-Goods-Representative. Good PC skills (word-processing, spreadsheets, presentations, databases) Good English language skills.
