The Opportunity & Team

We have an exciting opening for a Manager - Human Resources to join our leadership team at our Tatura site. Tatura Milk Industries is a wholly owned subsidiary of Bega Cheese Limited, employing over 400 people and manufacturing a wide range of dairy products including cream cheese, butter, and milk powders.

The Manager - Human Resources will lead three direct reports, and guide and advise the site management team. Reporting to the Group Manager – HR Operations, the role will be responsible for;

  • Working to deliver the people and culture objectives for the site and centralised HR function
  • Leading site employee and industrial relations matters including EBA negotiations
  • Coordinating recruitment, training and development and retention activities to ensure a suitably skilled workforce
  • Ensuring the compliance and consistent application of HR policies, procedures, and processes
  • Initiating and engaging with the roll out of group HR strategic initiatives and programs

The successful incumbent will be passionate about people and fostering a positive workplace culture. The individual will be able to demonstrate experience in all facets of HR including employee relations, employee engagement, change management, communication, talent management, performance management and succession planning.

Additionally, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources Management or a related discipline
  • A demonstrated ability to lead a HR Team in a complex environment
  • HR management experience within manufacturing or FMCG (desirable)
  • Proven influencing and high level communication skills including the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Ability to develop productive working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders
