We require an experienced HVAC Technician, to formulate part of our Facilities Maintenance team, based out of our Trades Branch in Wellington. The ideal candidate would be someone who is on the pathway to achieving IQP registration or is able to achieve IQP within 3 months.

You will be based on various client sites, working in a team comprised of trades staff, admin support and facility and project managers. This will include some planned maintenance, reactive tasks and project work.

As you will be working on a client site, strong adherence to health and safety of yourself and others, and good quality finishing work is essential.  

BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE

  • HVAC or refrigeration Trade qualified – Ideally IQP Certified for SS9
  • NZ Limited Electrical licence highly beneficial
  • Trade qualified – Air Conditioning or Refrigeration Engineering
  • Experience working in a commercial maintenance environment highly desirable
  • Knowledge and commitment to Health and Safety – Site Safe, Working at Heights and Elevated Work Platforms training highly desirable
  • Ability to work with a high level of autonomy
  • Able to use a tablet to record job stories (or willingness to learn)
  • Proficient use of MS Word / Excel / Outlook will be looked upon favourably.

You must have good (English) written and oral communication skills and have proven experience dealing with clients in a professional manner.
