Position Purpose
The main purpose of this role is to support the IBA Geographic Coverage China team in Hong Kong in execution of capital market and advisory transactions as well as preparation of marketing material.
Key Responsibilities
Support during client marketing and deal execution

1. Support IBA Geographic Coverage China team throughout the client marketing and origination process by:

  • Preparing teaser, pitch books or other presentation materials for potential new deals (e.g. M&A, ECM).
  • Helping on market research studies
  • Preparing industry comparable ratio tables
  • Developing deal ideas
  • Participating in origination meetings if and when required

2. Support as well lead under supervision deal execution of deals related to IBA Geographic Coverage China team by:

  • Assisting in planning stage such as determining terms and structure of transaction, timetable etc.
  • Liaising and coordinating with relevant parties (client and / or internal) to obtain essential and necessary data or and information
  • Assisting in preparations of valuations including cashflow analysis and comparable ratios
  • Assist in preparing all necessary documents for regulatory authorities and reports needed by investors in executing mandated transactions
  • Identifying risks and possible solutions in the course of execution of M&A and ECM
3. Support all other client or deal related analysis / work if and when required

Other Responsibilities

  • Coach Analysts and Associates within the team
  • Ensure active and proper utilization of Client 1st (or related Client Relationship Management tools of BNPP) including the preparation and upload of call memos, client contacts and opportunities
  • Support smooth coordination and good working relationship with product lines
  • Direct contribution to the Bank's operational permanent control framework
  • Comply with regulatory requirements and internal guidelines

Specific Qualifications Required
  • University graduate with Finance, Business or related major
  • Minimum 8 years of client service experience in banking industry paired with a strong sense of accountability and integrity
  • Knowledge in accounting and financial modelling
  • Experience in execution of M&A and ECM deals
  • Thorough knowledge of different bank products
  • Extensive exposure in China and an understanding of the business environment, regulatory regime and market trends
  • Excellent communication skills in terms of both external marketing and internal coordination
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English, both verbal and written
