Currently, we are seeking qualified candidates for a Senior Visual UI Designer opening to join our Global Consumer Design organization.
As Senior Digital UI Designer, you will join our User Experience and Interaction Design teams and you will be directly responsible for the creation of compelling and cutting-edge branded experiences across multiple digital appliances and mobile platforms.
You will be asked to generate best in class design solutions from initial concepts to pixel perfect comps release, working in symbiosis with UX designers during all the UI development, creating and populating digital style-guides and design systems.
Your responsibility will be to successfully work with developers, project managers, and other internal teams to get your designs into production. You should have creative problem-solving skills and be able to multitask while working with minimal supervision on a wide variety of projects. Create compelling and inspiring digital designs for Whirlpool connected home appliance products and services that stand out in the marketplace.
Collaborate with cross-functional team members throughout the design phase to address iterative feedback and to ensure optimal design execution.
Generate high-fidelity wireframes, mockups, and pixel-perfect visual designs based on UX flows.
Apply UI best practices to drive innovation and ensure visual solutions are highly scalable across multiple applications
Contribute to develop our Design Systems for the different brands to create amazing user experiences.
Work with the development team to provide guidance and validate implementation.
Engage with content repositories and systems to ensure graphics are cataloged appropriately.
Audit early software builds to ensure the team’s vision is being properly applied.
Foster the future: Actively seek and share digital inspiration (creative, technology, general digital trends).
Bachelor Degree in Graphic Design, Digital Art, Interaction Design
5+ years of industry experience in designing & creating digital product or mobile user experiences.
Fluent in English, written and spoken.
Expertise in design basics including Typography, Color Theory, and Layout across different form factors.
Basic knowledge and understanding of atomic design principles and proven ability in creating branded design systems.
Proficient in the latest digital design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, Abstract, Zeplin, as well as a strong understanding of Android and IOS.
Design portfolio showcasing a variety of digital projects (roles and responsibilities on each project must be clearly stated in the portfolio).
Understanding and knowledge of motion design principles and their application.
Understanding and basic knowledge of usability and user centered design principles and methodologies.
Strong written communication, and experience working with external development teams.
Good communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
