Minimum qualifications:

Using your influencing and relationship-building skills, you provide Google-caliber client service, research and market analysis. You anticipate how decisions are made, persistently explore and uncover the business needs of Google's key clients and understand how our range of product offerings can grow their business. Working with them, you set the vision and the strategy for how their advertising can reach thousands of users.

As an Industry Lead, you will manage a complex portfolio of global clients and brands in collaboration with global business partners. You will also build and maintain relationships with senior-level clients and relevant agency contacts, promoting Google at meetings, events, and conferences. Understanding the roles within your team and as a people manager, you will provide team development, guidance, feedback, and motivation; developing a deep understanding of the business needs of advertisers and customers. As part of the Germany branding sector leadership team, you will bring your in-depth industry, management and business experience to this group while driving cross-team initiatives.

In this role, you'll help customers make the most of the web and grow their business with Google. You'll lead a direct team of Industry Managers and Analysts and an extended virtual team of Account Managers and Programmatic Sales Managers. Additionally, you'll work collaboratively to develop the vision and strategy for the pod.

Our Large Customer Sales teams partner closely with many of the world’s biggest advertisers and agencies to develop digital solutions that build businesses and brands. We enjoy a bird’s eye view on the massive transformation occurring as advertising shifts to mobile and online platforms. We're uniquely situated to help shape how companies grow their businesses in the digital age. We advise clients on Google's broad range of products across search, video and mobile to help them connect instantly and seamlessly with their audiences.


  • Build, grow, and deepen relationships with C-level and senior-level clients and relevant agency contacts. Develop a deep understanding of the business and marketing strategies and needs of customers, and insights into their consumers’ behavior.
  • Develop the vision, strategy, and business plan for the pod. Develop and manage business and account strategies.
  • Educate and act as a thought-leader. Advocate for digital, innovation, and Google at events, conferences, and media opportunities.
  • Inspire, lead, and manage a cross-functional, cross-location team of industry managers, account managers, account optimizers, and industry analysts. Provide leadership and direction, coaching, guidance, feedback and motivation.
  • Discover and cultivate new business opportunities and drive business growth. Contribute to the overall branding strategy and plan/act as a key part of the branding sector management team, leading cross-sector initiatives.
