Role:
The infrastructure Architect role will be focused on cloud solutions with an emphasis on Amazon Web Services, in addition to other multi cloud platforms such as MS Azure and IBM Cloud. This role will be working to establish processes focused on implementing, supporting, and monitoring multi cloud environment. The Technical Cloud Specialist will define the operational processes to effectively manage the cloud environment and develop the DevOps process for deploying and maintaining solutions within the Cloud environment. The cloud architect will also serve as a technical lead and mentor and provide technical support or leadership in the development and continual improvement of service.

    Education and Experience:
    • You will be degree qualified
    • 10 years experience in software development
    • 5 years experience in customer facing role
    • Windows Clustering – VCS including Storage Management.
    • Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, WINS, DFS, in a Windows 2012 / 2008 landscape.
    • Knowledge of NetIQ Identity Management Quest Active Roles Server (ARS) are preferable.
    • We need to add some Linux skills requirements
    • Understanding of monitoring best practices.
    • Experience with infrastructure and server theories, principles and concepts; application infrastructure and standards; networking fundamentals; Windows; Physical Server architecture; Virtualization Technologies (e.g. VMware, HyperV) and LAN/WAN/Firewall/VPN network technologies.
    • Develops, documents, and enforces the standards, security procedures, and controls for access to ensure integrity of the Windows Systems, Active Directory, and related systems.
    • Knowledge of server virtualization technologies, preferably VMware and/or Microsoft technologies.
    • ITIL v3 Certification is a plus.
     
    Key Responsibilities:
     Design, implement, and maintain cloud-based solutions
    • Collaborate with IT Architecture, IT Security, and internal customers to develop cloud based solutions to fulfill client requests
    • Create and update work processes, solution designs, and customer training documentation
    • Work with Application teams on new initiatives and solution deployment
    • Create and maintain system documentation for domain technologies, including installation, configuration, and appropriate troubleshooting steps.
    • Improve existing processes through solutions to recurring problems and enhancements to existing solutions or documentation.
    • Manage customer satisfaction through effectively communicating and managing customer expectations.
    • Identify opportunities to innovate, extend and enhance service delivery everywhere possible.
    • Evaluate the analytics from the cloud environment to make recommendations for improvements and optimization
    • Lead the technical planning & requirements gathering phases including estimate, develop, test, manage projects, architect and deliver.
    • Technical Lead and mentor and provide technical support and leadership in the development and continual improvement of service.
     
    Mandatory Requirement:
    • Be an Australian citizen
    • Been resident in Australia for the past 5 years
    • Not spent greater than 12 months cumulative out of Australia during the past 5 years
    • Satisfy an AU Gov client Pre-Engagement Integrity Check
    • Be eligible to obtain an AGSVA baseline security clearance or already have AGSVA baseline security clearance
