Summer Employment - Camp ROCKS! Early Childhood Mini Camp - Casual Classroom Instructor Position: Instructor General Purpose of Job We are seeking highly energetic instructors to teach early childhood camps through Osseo Area Schools Community Education - Youth Enrichment. If you have an interest or passion in art, music, design, technology, or other creative and innovative subject we encourage you to apply. You will design and teach your camp under the guidance of Community Education. We are committed to enhancing the community and inspiring our young people to excel through exciting, engaging, hands-on activities! The role of an instructor is extremely important. The best instructors are those who have a love of their subject and a desire to share it while creating a classroom atmosphere that is inclusive, warm and welcoming. Students enrolling in early childhood camps are between 3-6 years old and must be potty trained in order to attend. *Employment is pending student enrollment numbers. Mini Camp Dates & Days You can choose the number of days and weeks you want to offer camps from the dates below. You will be contacted to discuss your proposal/s. Mon-Thu (occasional Fridays) Camps can be anywhere from 1-5 days in lengthJune 21-24 June 28-July 1 July 5-8 July 12-15 July 19-22 July 26-29 August 2-5 August 9-12 Mini Camp Times 9:00 am-4:00 pm Camps may be scheduled anywhere from 9 am-4 pm and run from approximately 1.5-3 hours in length. Lunch break from 12 pm-1 pm (no camps scheduled during this time). Training Site set-up and preparation will take place the week of June 14th at the mini camp site (TBD) Location Camps have typically been held at or near Cedar Island Elementary in Maple Grove. The sites will be determined at a future date. Camp Goals Students gain new skills and explore interests. High quality camps taught by instructors who are experts in their field. Provide opportunities that meet the current needs of the community.
