  • To co-ordinate, report and inform on the coordinated design gathering information from the design, from the BIM management and from Others using tools such as databook, room schematics and reviewing combined services drawings
  • To ensure sufficient level of interface is defined to ensure integrated system with our partner in the tender

The system interface & integration engineer shall act as the central point to gather the required information ensuring that the between the two partners Civil Work Joint Venture and Electro-Meca+Roling Stock Joint venture all the scope is covered, the system is integrated, and there is no hole or grey areas in our proposal. He will define the information required and will report to the appropriate staff if any clash to be solved or change to be made to any design or scope adjustment.

The system interface & integration engineer shall liaise and co-operate with designers within Alstom in the system and subsystem teams and with Civil Joint Venture.

The system interface & integration engineer shall manage the BIM team at System level, and make the interface between our Civil partner and ours Subsystems.

The main responsibilities of are listed under:

  • To prepare, update and communicate the interface with our civil partner, and be a pivot between the Civil partner and the subsystem
  • To prepare all the appropriate materials for the communication with the third parties involved:
    • Sponsors
    • Project Co
    • Lender Technical Advisor
    • Etc.
  • Manage the interface participate at the meetings with our Civil partner to manage the Inputs/outputs
  • Make a link with the off-shore activities especially the configuration management and the in-house interface between our subsystem
  • To implement the interface management process to manage interfaces through
  • identification for each interface of an interface leader and interface contributors
  • Liaising with all discipline leaders in order to assure the alignment and consistency of technical designs.
  • Organising and coordinating regular technical interface meetings between parties to reach mutual agreement.
  • Facilitating the traceability of agreements and changes, if any.
  • Organising regular Interface Progress Meetings to bring the project a vision of interface resolution status as well as identification of concerns and highlights
  • Manage all the tools and spreadsheets to monito and manage the co-ordination of the interfaces:
      • Interface matrix
      • Interface register
      • Various log book for RFI, queries, assumptions, etc.
  • participation in the design reviews of others
  • Manage the BIM team and the BIM interface between CJV and the Subsystem, and manage the following activities:
    • Check the 3d models from our CJV partners
    • Check clash detections in the model btw the previous version
    • Released and manage the configuration of these models with our Subsystem and the configuration manager
    • Integrate the model with the information from our subsystems
    • Sent the model and present the progress to CJV
    • Released some typical and specific cross sections and part of the model to allow the local team to identify and solve conflicts and to manage and coordinate the interface with our partner

Be a support in case of additional survey to define the needs and manage the interface with our partner leader of this activities
