Purpose of the job

• Supporting the vehicle interface lead on global bid and project by defining the interface of vehicle with wayside, installation for E&M scope.

• Review/assess and translate ITT/RFP requirements into sub-system configuration and interface requirements , including to initiate the technical clarification, technical coordinator skill and having risk and opportunity management skill.

• To coordinate with other function to identify the scope split with other stakeholders.

Assigned to support bids and projects for vehicle interfaces activities.

Key responsibilities

1.Coordinate with Integration engineers and Rail Systems sub-activities design engineers throughout the bid and delivery phases of projects to define and finalize vehicle interfaces between Rail Systems activities, including support to design reviews.

Work closely with Product engine (Rolling stock advance engineer and product manager) for vehicle interface scope split and equipment.

2.Address and / or support Compliance / Requirement management process during bids/projects, for wayside installation management requirements with relevant internal BT teams/suppliers/partners.

3.Able to follow BT bid process (all gate review, governance review) under system integration part.

Active part of the overall review of vehicle technical documentation and processes related to vehicle interface and engineering management in order to optimize/update Bombardier approach and strategy for vehicle interface and engineering wayside: typically review of TRDs, BOM/CBOM processes/standardisation.

Qualifications & Functional Knowledge


• Engineering degree (Mechanical, or Electrical, or other).

Relevant experience required (i.e. directly linked to the requirements of the position/role)

• Technical understanding of rolling stock (maintenance or operations).

• Having Technical clarification experience with customer and engineer team.

• Having experience on commercial and technical negotiation with customer and engineer team.

• Having risk and opportunities management view.

Specialized or cross-functional knowledge / relevant experience required by the position/role

• Ability to work in a team environment and interface.

• Working knowledge of planning & scheduling criteria.

• Able to work across multi-cultural and nationality.

• Able to attend the meeting in different time zone .

• Excellent interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills.

• Fluent in English speaking and writing.
