At ON Semiconductor, the CMOS Image Sensor Group aims to deliver high performance reliable products to our customer.

During production phase, the Product Engineering (PE) Team is responsible for the quality and the reliability of our Image sensor product as well as the sustainability of their production and performance.

We are involved in any event which impacts the normal production flow such as:

This internship will address the change of production flow part.

Currently the testing of some of our products is performed at the engineering site in Mechelen, Belgium with the intention to transfer this activity to an Asian subcontractor site in 2021.

The flow at the Mechelen engineering site requires a lot of human intervention, which prevents us from transferring the test part to our subcontractor. The data-flow still requires manual modification and material location (physical or system-wise) also need manual update depending on each scenario.

For each process which currently requires a manual intervention, the successful candidate will use industry methodology (Lean Six Sigma) to:

All tasks will take place with full support of the PE team and in close collaboration with TE (Test Engineers) and SD (System Development) Team.

Engineering Master degree, internship between 3 and 6 months, enrolled at a Belgian university/school and living in Belgium

Hard skills:

Experience with programming languages Basic Python scripting

Microsoft Office

Good basic knowledge of digital and analogue electronics

Knowledge of CMOS Image Sensor is preferred
