Key Responsibilities

Dell is currently seeking an APJ Channel Internal Communications & Singapore Site Internal Communications Advisor to support the communications strategy and execute internal programs in support of the Senior Vice President of the APJ Channel Sales business and the Singapore Site Leaders:

  • The successful candidate will develop and execute a strategic internal communications plan aligned to the key priorities & local initiatives of the Dell EMC APJ Channel business strategy and objectives (emails, blogs, newsletters etc.).
  • The successful candidate will develop and execute a strategic internal communications plan aligned to the key priorities & initiatives of the Dell EMC Singapore Site. The program will engage team members and build a great place to work through communications including newsletters, leadership communications, events, Town Halls, and employee resource group initiatives.
  • Experience and knowledge in creating and maintaining an internal executive blog, internal social media (such as Chatter) podcast or other electronic forum is a plus.
  • This role requires the ability to effectively engage with executive internal clients, along with the organizational skills, creativity and tenacity needed to maintain aggressive and relevant internal and executive communications programs globally. The successful candidate will ensure communications plan and timeline are integrated with other company, business strategy and business unit initiatives.
  • The successful candidate will also have experience in developing executive speaking platforms including speech writing, presentation development and some event management. They will be responsible for obtaining core content and positioning from senior leaders to ensure accurate and strategic communications.
  • This role will involve developing collateral material and senior level presentations as appropriate. It will also entail collecting and analysing the results of assigned activities and reporting to senior leadership on the success and lessons learned around key messages as well as delivery vehicles (analyse effectiveness of communication tools, including Poppulo for internal emails, Business Updates, Town Halls, blogs and social media (chatter).
  • Identifies opportunities and highlights risks; provides regular counsel and advice to senior leadership as appropriate.

Essential Requirements

Responsible for shaping awareness of the APJ Channel business’ strategy and the Singapore Site priorities with internal audiences, which includes:

  • Create and manage internal (team member) programs in support of the APJ Channel Senior Vice President’s internal communications, including internal imperatives such as corporate culture code, team member communications, cross-business initiatives and  product/solutions awareness opportunities.  
  • Create and manage the Singapore Site internal communications including overseeing the employee resource groups’ communications, the Singapore Site Newsletter, Town Halls, visiting executive leadership team Town Halls and brown bags,
  • Support development of priority narratives/messaging to ensure effective internal storytelling.
  • Work with other communications functions as necessary to develop and proactive and reactive integrated communications plans, including internal/external perspectives, speaking points and media statements.
  • Clearly communicate Dell EMC’s APJ Channel competitive positioning and value propositions.

Desirable Requirements

  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of technology-related communications experience, with at least 1 to 2 years managing executive communications for a senior executive.
  • Excellence in planning and execution of internal communications strategy, programs and tactics.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills; ability to think on feet.
  • Experience interacting at all levels of a company, including senior management.
  • Strategic and technical understanding of blog platforms, video production and webcasts
  • Able to operate in matrix organizations and manage multiple projects concurrently; comfortable working with remote colleagues and stakeholders; experience working across disciplines and geographies.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or related field preferred.
