JOB DESCRIPTION
You will work with senior consultants to assist in providing advice to a range of clients on a broad suite of investment topics and services, but with a particular focus on strategic asset allocation and the quantitative modelling tools and analysis that support this advice. Other areas of research and analysis include portfolio construction, risk budgeting, dynamic asset allocation, performance measurement and evaluation and a variety of other investment services. The Role:
+ Work with experienced client facing consultants to help design investment solutions for our clients, which are well presented in a timely manner
+ Take accountability for your agreed deliverables, ensuring achievement of deadlines for your quality contribution into the finalised work product
+ Develop strong relationships with our consultants and clients
+ Support other team-members in carrying out quantitative analysis and in the construction and delivery of reports and presentations for clients
+ Contribute to a collaborative and inclusive team culture
+ Build strong relationships internally and collaborate effectively on cross-functional teams.
+ Work with our client consultants to develop an appropriate investment strategy for each client, taking into account the client’s specific objectives, tolerance for risk and governance capability
+ Become proficient in the use of Willis Towers Watson’s quantitative models in order to assess the risk and return profiles of different investment strategies. Analyse the risk and return characteristics of different asset classes and investment portfolios using both quantitative approaches and judgement
+ Build technical knowledge of investment across asset classes, Willis Towers Watson investment processes, other house views and best practice.
+ Research and prepare written reports on different investment topics, including asset allocation, portfolio construction and asset classes
The Requirements:
+ A university degree in actuarial studies, finance, or other relevant discipline
+ Commitment to completing either the CFA or actuarial qualifications (for which Willis Towers Watson provides generous support)
+ A desire for intellectual stimulation and challenge
+ Strong ability to balance lateral thinking with pragmatism
+ Strong ability to utilise your written and verbal communication skills to formulate and present recommendations
+ Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously
+ A natural affinity with people and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
