Job Description

Accountabilities:

Accountability 1: Business Analysis

Analyse and define requirements based on business needs, budget, and required integration across existing and/or proposed applications, systems, and platforms

Define solution requirements in the form of functional, non-functional and transition requirements such that detailed needs are understood.

Requirements lifecycle management

Contribute to the preparation of business cases, justification and cost analysis Page 2 of 5

Collaborate with other business analysts, solution designers, developers and team members to communicate business requirements for the purpose of development into solutions in line with the roadmap and standards.

Understand and apply business analysis methodologies, i.e framework and approaches. Utilise business process modelling toolsets and techniques.

Maintain knowledge of industry best practices, through participation in forums and vendor sessions.

Maintain knowledge of vendor product releases and roadmaps

Provide business process support to the operations teams as required.

As a project team member, deliver the desired outcome and support the Release Manager to develop a pathway for a smooth handover to operations

Prepare business cases, justification and cost analysis and present to the business and IT stakeholders

Provide critical analysis of existing business processes for the purpose of identifying process improvement opportunities

Accountability 2: Business Process and Collaboration

Work with the business stakeholders to enable the development of an understanding of their business processes and systems.

Attend and initiate business forums and meetings to enable an understanding of the business process.

Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the development of solutions in partnership with the business stakeholders.

Maintain up to date knowledge of the organisation’s strategic business plans and react accordingly to the possible impacts and opportunities on processes and systems.

Leverage knowledge of existing application architecture to enhance and optimize business processes and advise on best practices

Initiate and lead business forums to drive the identification of process improvement opportunities for further consideration.

Accountability 3: Customer Services Delivery

Provide prompt 1st and 2nd line support to telephone, Helpdesk and email requests to resolve operational problems as quickly as possible.

Enter requests correctly into the Helpdesk system; escalate to 3rd line support whennecessary.

Provide support in a timely manner after consultation with the customer/Service Desk

Manager/IT Project manager/System Administrators.

Create, administer and remove user access rights to desktop applications

Provide technical support & insights regarding system issues, in accordance with Cochlear internal policies and procedures.

Collaborate with the Service Desk and customers.

In accordance with the Global Information Technology ITIL strategy, take care of the following

ITIL processes:

o Request Fulfilment

o Incident Management

Monitor incidents and/problems and provide regular status updates to customers.

Provide advice on basic use of hardware, software and remote access

Assist/guide users on desktop productivity tools including printing to optimize product usage.

Provide IT induction training to new starters

Have a good understanding of the Service Level Agreements between different stakeholders and follow the escalation procedures to ensure minimal breach in these service levels.

Install and configure software within established standards and guidelines. Page 3 of 5

Take full responsibility for all site related IT operations

Accountability 4: Continual Service Improvement

Work closely with the reporting manager to improve and optimise Service Desk and Site

Services processes.

Provide system documentation according to the project development methodology.

Monitor data and report on service level metrics and other KPIs.

Perform User Access Audit as requested.

Contribute to the production of standard configurations, documentation and procedures in order to streamline processes and produce efficiencies within the team.

Accountability 5: Implementation of projects

Provide assistance and technical knowledge to aid in the implementation of Projects.

Collaborate with project managers and other project team members.

o facilitating project meetings and workshops and documenting agreed outcomes

o overseeing aspects of the project and assisting with coordination activities where specific domain knowledge would be beneficial to the outcome

Accountability 6: Business Partnering

Work with local site management to identify local needs and devise action plans.

Collaborate with the Infrastructure Services teams to achieve customer satisfaction.

Perform basic project management for projects which are mainly related to the local site.

Manage customer expectations and requirements throughout problem resolution.

Work with vendors to resolve technical problems with equipment and software.

Partner with the business to provide a supportive, innovative and flexible working environment, analyse business requirements and make recommendations to the Line Manager to deliver IT solutions aligned with business needs/goals.
