This segment provides technologies that serve as the nervous system of the vehicle, including the complete design, manufacture and assembly of the vehicle’s electrical architecture. This segment’s products include engineered components, connectors, wiring assemblies and harnesses, cable management, electrical centers and hybrid high voltage and safety distribution systems. Our products provide the critical signal distribution and computing power backbone that supports increased vehicle content and electrification, reduced emissions and higher fuel economy.
Advanced Safety & User Experience— Revenues of $4.1 billion in 2019. This segment provides software enabled solutions that serve as the brain of the vehicle, improving safety, security, connectivity and comfort. Products include active safety and perception systems, in-cabin user experience systems, computer platforms for security, comfort and control functions, as well as on-and-off-vehicle data management and communication solutions. The segment will also work closely with Aptiv’s newly announced automated driving joint venture with Hyundai, which advances the development of production-ready autonomous driving systems and further enhances Aptiv’s competitive positions in ADAS solutions and vehicle connectivity.
