The Group IT Service Delivery team provide a critical, customer-focused support service to over 2,500 business end users and 12,000+ registered web users across four vertically integrated business units in several countries. This includes support for 40+ applications and 2000+ desktops.
The team share a genuine desire to enable the most effective IT operational environment for users through a strong collective customer focus and sense of collaboration.
About the role
Reporting to the Group Infrastructure Manager, we’re seeking a well-rounded IT service delivery professional with a people-centric leadership style to manage service performance across our desktop and service desk teams.
You’ll champion product and service initiatives with the aim of delivering outstanding services that align with GrainCorp’s IT strategic direction. You will also lead and promote incident, problem and change management policies and procedures including oversight for performance of technology and service provider partners.
About your experience
Our ideal candidate is either stepping across from a similar role or has shown demonstrated progression within service desk or desktop support up to team leader level. You’ll need to have a detailed, applied understanding of the ITIL framework.
You should be able to demonstrate proven success employing an engaging and collaborative people leadership style that favours capability development through coaching and mentoring, for example.
Additionally, you’ll offer:

  • Experience in one or more of the following: managing IT environments, compliance, risk management, service improvement, demand management and relationship management
  • Solid knowledge of Enterprise Service Desk and Desktop technologies such as: Microsoft products (Office, SharePoint), ServiceNow, Citrix, Mobile devices, monitoring tools
  • Qualifications / Certifications in service management (Pref. ITIL v3)
