Would you like the opportunity to work within a busy and dynamic IT Service team, supporting our stores and our business on a day to day basis in the delivery of great customer support? This position will play a vital role in maintaining a great service to our customers.

We are looking for someone with a ‘can do’ attitude who is eager to learn within a supportive team. In your daily work, you will provide first and second line support to our internal and external colleagues. You will also work with email administration and management in Office 365 and support remote desktop environments and applications. As well as a variety of day to day duties, you will build/image laptops and desktops, iPhones and iPads for new starters.

Our future colleague in this role does not need to have a lot of experience. With a curious mindset, an interest/flair for IT combined with a proactive service minded attitude we are sure that you will thrive and succeed.

As our future IT Service Desk Analyst, you will;

- provide first line support to the end users

- provide second line support to our internal and external colleagues

- work with operating systems such as Linux (RedHat)/Windows (98, XP,7,10)/OSX 

- work with email admin/management in Office 365

- support remote desktop environments and applications (Citrix XenDesktop/XenApp)

- build/image laptops and desktops, iPhones and iPads for new starters

- create new users and assign the correct policies in an Active Directory environment

- support/troubleshoot networking issues (basic TCP/IP, WAN, LAN, WLAN)

- provide remote support to our customers and in some cases onsite

- occasionally travel (minimum twice a year)

- support the senior analysts and/or the business in activities for projects

- accept, record and resolve incidents in a timely and professional manner

To be successful in this role

Your curiosity and interest for IT and technical solutions is key for becoming a success. Eagerness to knowing more and developing your skills, as well as sharing your knowledge with the team is the attitude we are looking for. Learning and development is a major focus point at Specsavers and we’ll happily teach all we can in order for you to grow your knowledge and skillset. The ambition to further develop yourself and your role in the company is encouraged.

Communication is another essential part of the role. You will be in contact with a lot of people both customers and colleagues, and it’s your job to give every one of them a great service. To be successful in this you need to be fluent in Dutch and have great English skills too (written and spoken). Great communication skills in general and being able to engage and communicate with colleagues at all levels is vital in the role.

It would be an advantage (but not a necessity) if you have experience from the retail sector and from a service provider role, as well as any certificates in either Microsoft, Citrix or Cisco are beneficial.

Being a team player with a high level of self-responsibility together with the ability to handle high pressure situations while maintaining a high service level is what makes you an excellent colleague.
