IT Solution Architect

Being a key team player shaping the future of the banks Investment Reporting in the role of the IT Solution Architect for our strategic “iSIR” Platform (Intuitive Standard Investment Reporting), built on a Java Back End and an Angular based Front End Solution, highly integrated into the Credit Suisse IT platform. The iSIR journey started two years ago and is now about to deliver the next major evolutionary steps. The role of the IT Solution Architect is an important key to not only stabilize the current build and ensure a high quality delivery going forward but even more to define and thrive the future evolution of this very central initiative in a highly competitive and agile environment. Whereof this very central role is defining the future of iSIR, its nature must be to deliver high quality software by applying best practices and focusing on some of the most important attributes as well:

• Enable highest possible efficiency for the development team by translating the defined functional and technical backlog items into tasks for each individual
• Closely collaborate with the development team and be a coach by leveraging your own experiences as a senior developer in the back end as well as front end world
• Own the future road map and ensure close alignment with all relevant stakeholders
• Be at the front end of agile collaboration and delivery

• B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science or similar and more than 5 years of experience in Java Backend and Java Script Frontend development/ integration technology (knowledge in EJB, JMS, web and RESTful services, experience with unit testing (Junit) 
• 2+ years in total with Spring Framework, resulting in expert knowledge in JEE 7, Spring 4 and JPA (Hibernate) as well as in Spring Boot and relational DB (Oracle) and SQL knowledge
• Strong OOP, design pattern and architecture skills with a passion for delivering quality software using best practices in chosen technology
• Excellent skills as creative problem solver and team player with great communication skills and fluent in English
• Preferably 2+ years of experience in the financial services industry and Cloud native technology (Microservices, container technology) knowledge 
• 2+ years in total with Angular, resulting in expert knowledge of Angular, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS as well as UI unit testing (Karma, Jasmine) are a plus
