What we’re looking for

The IT Technical Analyst communicates with multiple levels of end users and management. This role requires the ability to translate business requests into well informed technical decisions while working independently and in group settings. The ideal candidate possesses a strong foundation in data warehouse concepts, data architecture, and system design. The ability to collaborate with colleagues across numerous business units will allow this individual to thrive. The successful candidate will work with business in a fast-paced environment, providing precise yet pragmatic solutions.
A day in the life…
+ Provide accurate translation of business objectives and needs into technical documentation needed by development teams
+ Generate detailed functional requirement document for local development and / or external vendors
+ Review and approve solution documents proposed by off-shore shared services team (EIT)
+ Support testing team providing key elements / points of attention to be tested
+ Balance solutions between architectural roadmaps and immediate business needs (e. g. time to market or resource / budget constrains)
+ Gather high level and detailed information, serves as a liaison between multiple business teams, and internal/external technology resources
+ Perform data mapping for system integration including API and batch files. Technically specify integration points, data elements, error handling and business rules
+ Diagram solutions using BPMN, ERD, Component diagrams and blueprints describing each solution in detail
+ Help provide data needed for general reporting, and business intelligence analytics
+ Learn new systems, processes, controls and integration points, then translate into system and process maps
+ Work with various levels of management and staff to help guide the development of reports and analytics used to manage risk and attain benchmarks
+ Provide business with sound analytical advice on proposed and in-place technology solutions
+ Identify and coordinate issues, problems, enhancements or new functionality needed
+ Work on a variety of tickets concurrently, while supporting business questions
+ Travel occasionally
+ Perform other duties as assigned
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
+ Based on requests from business, the Analyst will provide:
+ Structured document describing the business request aligned with Enterprise Architecture guidelines, evaluating implementation constraints identified at the time
+ Accurate source to target maps that support the request and solution
+ List of systems and components that will be impacted by the proposed solution
+ Use cases that will be covered by the proposed solution
+ Non-functional requirements necessary to be covered in order to implement the solution
You’ll own this if you have…
+ Bachelor's Degree (computer science preferred)
+ Minimum of 5 years of technical IT analysis or Data warehouse solution designer
+ Minimum of 4 years of experience in specification and development of data warehouse systems including activities such as:
+ Building reports and report metadata using systems such as Oracle Business Intelligence (OBIEE), Tableau, or SQL Server Reporting/Analysis Services (SSRS/SSAS)
+ Moving data with ETL tools such as Informatica, Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), or SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).

+ Demonstrated ability to develop complex and efficient SQL queries and stored procedures
+ Ability to be track data transformation from one system to another mapping the changes and presenting the maps in rational documentation.
+ Basic knowledge of data normalization, business intelligence, and data warehouse lifecycle
We would really like you to have...
+ Experience or education in finance industry and/or financial products
+ Experience with Oracle Databases and PL/SQL
+ Experience working on the business side of an organization -- understanding their need to solve problems more quickly that IT can develop a permanent and stable solution
+ Experience working with data quality management, data governance and data security management
