SOS International LLC (SOSi), is seeking a highly qualified IACS Data Base Administrator (DBA / Counter Terrorism and Law Enforcement Data Analyst to support a large Information Technology (IT) support services contract for U.S. Army Europe (USAREUR). The program supports theater communications architecture and enhancing interoperability between the Army and Allied mission partners. The services performed under this contract will include, but are not limited to, End User help services, network services (WAN/LAN), Internet Protocol Television (IPTV), Mobile communications, System Administration, Comand and Control (C2), Application/System Support, Project Management, Engineering Services (System/Network), Software Engineering and Application Development, Cyber Security, Logistics Management, Storage and Virtualization, Knowledge Management, and Enterprise Architecture Services.

  • Input, perform analysis, formulate reporting and coordinate relevant counter terrorism data from USAREUR G2, partner elements, and host nation law enforcement agencies.
  • Install and upgrade database software
  • Create database storage structures
  • Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database integrity issues, performance issues, blocking and deadlocking issues, replication issues, log shipping issues, connectivity issues, security issues etc.
  • Experience in performance tuning, and query optimization,
  • Ability to detect and troubleshoot oracle server related cpu, memory, i/o, disk space and other resource contention.
  • Strong knowledge of backups, restores, recovery models, database shrink operations, clustering, database mirroring, replication.
  • Expert experience in implementing operational automation.
  • Strong knowledge of how indexes, index management, integrity checks, configuration, patching. How statistics work, how indexes are stored, how they can be created and managed effectively.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Security Clearance:
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance based on a T5 investigation
  • Education:
  • Associate’s degree in Information Technology, or relevant discipline; Additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of education
  • Certifications:
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Technical Expert accreditation status under DOCPER.
  • MCP 70-410, 70-411 or higher required within 180 days
  • DoD 8570 IAT-II certification required
  • Security+ and/or Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) - Database Administrator (DBA) 11g
  • PMP Certification required
  • Advanced ITIL certifications desired
  • Experience:
  • Oracle DBA experience.

  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment
  • Ability to lift and/or move objects or packages of up to 25 lbs.
